"One"

Once when I was just a little pup, it was said that an alpha would be born and he would rule the entire southern packs. Except there was one small problem, this alpha would be feared by everyone. No one would dare say his name or look him in the eyes. Even his own pack members would be on guard around him, but the only person who could change him is his mate.
Lana: unnie, this is an old fairytale our elders tell us.
The little pup sitting on my lap said while giggling.
Y/n: yes, and do you know why our elders tell us these stories as young pups?
I asked all of the pups gathered around me. All of them shook their heads in excitement to find out why.
Y/n: so we know what will come in our future lives. We take the stories and make them our own.
Jack: noona, do you think the alpha is real? That he is alive right now?
Y/n: he could be, but we will never know until he is announced as an alpha.
Lana: what if he's your mate, unnie!!!
I chuckled, looking down at the little pup.
Y/n: I highly doubt it, Lana. That's a one in a billion chance.
A whistle came from the front of the school where their teacher stood waving them over.
Y/n: go on, back to class you go.
I stood from my spot on the grass watching all of them run back into the building. Being the alpha's daughter has its perks. I get to play with the pups and help my mother with her Luna business. My father thinks I'm going to be a Luna some day, so he's making me learn Luna responsibilities. It's not all that difficult to grasp once you have been learning for as long as I have.

My brother mind linked me, almost sound as if something terrible had happened. I ran straight to the pack house and went into the living room where everyone was. Two of the elders were here and of course my mother and father. They all looked at me at the same time. My mother had a sad look on her face and my fathers was worried.
Y/n: what's going on?
Elder: one of the elder had another vision of the alpha to come.
Y/n: ok, what does this have to do with me?
I asked taking a seat next to my brother while our parents were across from us.
Mother: listen to them y/n, it's important
I did as she said and gave the elders my full attention.
Elder: it's been confirmed that the alpha is alive and has been for 18 years.
Father: he's only a few months older than you
My father said looking at me, I still don't see what this has to do with me. Also why didn't they see that he was alive before hand?
Elder: his father passed two days ago, meaning he will be crowned as alpha within the next week.
Y/n: alright, so is he crazy like they have said he is?
I asked completely interrupting the elder.
Father: yes, he's emotionless and fearless. He cares for nothing and no one.
Y/n: I'm important in this somewhere, I can sense it. Can you please tell me why?
Elder: as alpha he must have a mate. And as the prophecy has said his mate will be the cure he needs. She'll guide him out of the dark and give him a purpose.
Ok, I am starting to get very nervous about how the rest of this conversation is gonna go.
Father: they saw you as his mate, Y/n.
My eyes widened, my body froze in complete shock. They must be mistaken, I can't be his mate! But, the elders are never wrong.
Elder: I have seen you change him, Y/n. He needs you or he'll be lost forever.
Y/n: why me?
I asked quietly, my voice barley able to be heard.
Mother: you're the daughter of an alpha, the most powerful one at that. It's destiny.
Y/n: destiny?! Destiny?!? How is this destiny?! I'm going to be shipped off to a new pack with an alpha who doesn't care if I live or die!!
My father stood from his seat giving me a stern look. I just yelled at my mother, his mate. He's not very happy with me.
Father: you will go and you will be the Luna he needs! That's final!
Y/n: but- but what is I die?
Elder: you're not going to die my dear. Remember, we can see everything.
He winked at me. Gross, he just winked at me. I looked from the elder to my parents.
Y/n: when must I go?
Father: we leave in the morning.
Y/n: what!!!
Father: don't raise your voice! You must be there before he's crowned, it's tradition.
He walked out of the room with my mother, brother, and the elders following behind him. Why is this happening to me?!?!

Hello everyone! I realized that I haven't done a new Yoongi story in a long time. Jungkook has been taking up my time, 😂. Can you blame me though? He's bias wreaking everyone! I'm sorry for those who have been waiting for a new one, but at last it's here. I hope you enjoy it as much as you loved His Luna or maybe even more!
