What the scriptures teaches: The Lord is the maker of all things

What the scriptures teaches:
The Lord is the maker of all things. All things belong to him.
In Jeremiah 29:11, we see where we are assured that the Lord knows our future. He has plans in place for us. These plans are not to harm us, but to build us, to give us a future that is pleasing to him. A prosperous future.
I learnt in Sunday school that the carnal man is one who gives his life to God but still relies on his own strength. He's still of the flesh. But St. Luke 9:23-26 reminds us that those who wants to save their life will loose it. We should be fully surrendered to the word of God. Even though it's difficult, we know that God's way is far more better to follow that the world. Things of this world will bring us nothing more than destruction. We don't know what we will go through and at what point we will go through it but we must trust that God will bring us through it. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all your heart and not to trust in your strength. Don't be like the carnal man, aim to be the spiritual man: one who completely trusts and relies on the true and loving God.

My takeaway
Because of how life seem to be going, we may be fearful about our future, but we are reminded that God is the holder of our future and we should not worry. We should put all our trust in God.

Prayer 🙏🏽
Lord thank you for all your promises. I thank you that you don't only promise but you keep theses promises. I pray that I will trust you more. I want to be like the spiritual man that relies completely on you. Help me to never deny you but to share your good news with others whether through words, text, a song or even by the way I love. Allow us to be more like you. In Jesus Name. Amen.
