"Eh? An invitation?"

Error looked at the paper in his hand that he just found on his beanbag. He just got an invitation for a huge mask party, or whatever these were called.

Dear Sans,

You are invited to our party! It will be at Nightmare's castle this saturday and all the other Sanses are invited as well. We're expecting you to come, with a mask and some fancy clothing. We look forwards to seeing you! ♥︎ت︎

~The Star Sanses

Ah, a party hosted by The Star Sanses. How wonderful. He was sooooo excited.
There were probably going to be lots, and then I mean LOTS of people. That meant, there could also be people that Error wouldn't like, or people that wouldn't like Error.

Though, something did catch his attention.

We're expecting you to come, with a mask.

A mask meant that no one had to know WHO he was. As long as he was able to hide his glitches somehow and try to not glitch his voice either, things would be okay. Besides, there were also lots of other glitches, so even if he DID glitch, he'd probably look or sound like a different version of himself.
Ah, problem fixed. All he needed were a mask and a suit, these would be easy to make.

Ah, it was Saturday night.
Error had a black dress-like suit, the vest with a bit of blue and gold going down to his knees, a white shirt underneath and his black shoes with thick heels.
A black mask with blue circles with yellow diamond-like jewels hanging onto the edge of the mask, attached to his face with a blue elastic rope. He looked perfect, and he was ready for the party to start.

Once he arrived he was greeted by Blue and Swap, who were both at the front door, greeting everyone. How he knew these two were Blue and Swap? They had wrote it on their clothing, so people could tell them apart... Interesting.
Error gave the two a nod as he walked into the huge castle with lots and lots of people. He saw some error signs, heard some window error sounds, all kinds of stuff he would be able to also do himself. He wasn't the only glitchy guy, atleast.

"Are you Error?" He heard a high-pitched voice, probably female, ask another glitchy skeleton.
"Yup, that's me." The voice was also high-pitched, more on the masculine side though. What a liar, claiming to be someone you're not. Who could blame them, though. Error was one of the- no, he was THE best skeleton of this multiverse. Of ALL multiverses! Haha.

It took him a while to get to the table filled with food. There were cupcakes, muffins, cake, but most importantly: a chocolate fountain. There was also fruit, marshmallows, so Error know what he'd do.
He put some watermelon, strawberries and marshmallows on a stick and put it all under the chocolate fountain. He opened a portal from his mask to his mouth and ate it like that, as he wouldn't put off his mask. Though, the fruit-marshmallow-chocolate combo tasted better than he had expected. I mean, what would you expect watermelon with chocolate to taste like?

After two hours and a speech of both star and bad sanses, Error decided it was probably time to go and tried to get past the crowd, until the dj- Wait, was that Fresh? Whatever, he was suddenly playing some loud and fast music, making everyone jump onto the dance floor, where Error had to go through to get to the exit.

He wanted to go home, but he couldn't just go through this crowd of people by himself. He noticed someone else pushing themselves through the crowd, and so Error followed after the skeleton.

The pushing skeleton suddenly stopped in the middle of the dancefloor, dancing like everyone else and going wild. Error was now stuck in the crowd and couldn't go anywhere.
Someone pushed another apparently, because someone got pushed against Error, making him glitch badly.
Error got pushed against another person, making him glitch again but also making the other yell at Error.
"Watch out where ya goin', man!"

Error mumbled something to himself, trying to find a way out of the crowd. There were no paths out of here, and every now and then someone would push Error or accidentally touch him, making the destroyer more uncomfortable and glitchy by the moment.

Eventually, he decided to try and push himself through the crowd and past his limits.

He pushed a Sans.

He pushed another Sans.

And another.

He tried to ignore the touching, but he just couldn't. The idea of touching the strangers himself- The strangers could grab him any moment! He wished Blue was here to help him, but he was at the front door...

Error was very glitchy now. His pushing and walking become slower and weaker, his vision becoming worse and worse because of the error signs blocking his eyesight, and once he had touched a Sans with a purple crop top with black shorts, he stood still.

There was a rebooting sign above his head, he couldn't see it himself though. In fact, he couldn't see anything. Everything was black, he couldn't hear anything anymore. He was in his own, light-headed world, so dizzy and yet... like he felt nothing, but also so cold and buzzy, in a bad way.
He could feel something hitting his head, his body limp. He couldn't move, he was on the ice cold floor. Did people notice? He hoped not. Hopefully no one saw his face underneath his mask either.
Something warm touched his arm, then his other arm and then also his legs. He couldn't feel the cold floor anymore, only the warmth of this person. It was familiar in a way, but still uncomfortable.

He woke up in a room, light-headed. His vision was blurry and his head hurt, along with the bright light hurting his eyesockets, but as soon as he got used to the light, he could see a goopy skeleton on a chair next to the bed he was laying on.

"Nightmare."

"You rebooted in the middle of a crowd."

"I know. You should've known I don't like touching! Atleast help me get outside."

"...Fine. C'mon, let's go."

Nightmare wanted to help Error get up, but Error put a finger in front of his face to stop him from touching him.
The goop skeleton got the hint and opened the door for Error, and lead him through the halls, towards the front door, where Error took his leave.
