Falling for a Riddle ( Mattheo Riddle ff - fanfiction)

Requirement

Draco and Amelia had been rather quiet since their late night magic show but they would always make room for a friendly acknowledgement of each others presence. Mattheo on the other hand, was constantly found next to Amelia in his constant attempt to ' protect' her. 

Amelia was accustomed to think it would be rather annoying but she loved the attention of a Riddle being solely on her even if it were only for a second. She basked in Mattheo's undivided attention towards her while everyone around her found it rather amusing.

" He's like a child hanging on to their mom" Pansy said laughing while Mattheo examined the interior of the great hall before motioning Amelia inside.

" Mia, how does it feel to have your very own Riddle bodyguard ?" Blaise said shoving an imaginary mic towards Amelia's face. 

Amelia looked towards Mattheo before begrudgingly answering Blaise. " Well I can't say I'm not enjoying it " she said giggling while Theo and Draco took a seat at the table. 

Theo nudged Amelia while Mattheo and Blaise exchanged homework assignments. Amelia motioned Theo to talk. 

" Ah Amelia you've been going here for about a few months now so you probably know a bunch of people right ?" Amelia nodded in agreement. " okay then know this, Tracey Davis is having a party this week in the room of requirement for Slytherin students only, do you maybe wanna come with me ?". 

Suddenly the group at the end of the Slytherin table are silent. Everyone awaits with baited breathe. Mattheo and Blaise stop mid exchange. Pansy stops while moving her fork up her mouth before promptly dropping it. Draco merely stares with no words exiting his gaping mouth.

Amelia looks on speechless while Theo awaits her verdict. She gulped but eventually gave her answer. 

" Uhhmm... sure. But just as friends" Amelia said waving a finger of caution at him. Theo shrugged and eased on his seat but Amelia could see the excitement on his face. Same as she could see the fury in Draco's.  Mattheo was talking to Blaise now but Amelia noticed him steal a few glances. 

" What was that about ?" Pansy asked slowly while Amelia just shrugged.

" He probably feels uncomfortable asking anyone else so he asked me. It's okay cause were only going as friends " Pansy shook her head in result to Amelia's conclusion. She then stared open eyed to the Gryffindor table, where a flustered Tom Riddle hovered around a Grumpy Hermione. Amelia could see Harry and Ron watching from Hermione to Tom. Tom was speaking fast while Hermione avoided his gaze. He sent a frustrated hand through his hair before making his way to the table.

No one said a thing before Draco decided to break the ice. 

" So... what happened between you and Granger ?" he asked playing with his food.

" She's mad at me because she found out about Davis's party and that I wasn't taking her" Amelia shot Tom a stern look. " I wasn't planning on going either" Tom retorted making Amelia drop her gaze. " But someone asked if I was coming and I said yes just so I could get them off my back and Hermione heard, she wouldn't let it go so I said there was no point arguing about it because she couldn't come anyway because she wasn't a Slytherin " this earned a gasp from Amelia and Pansy while the rest merely said Tome argued sense.

" She's your girlfriend Tom. You can't just say stuff like that to her " Amelia said in a concerned tone. She looked over at the Gryffindor table where Hermione looked like she was complaining to a red hair girl. Harry noticed her gaze and waved. Before Amelia could return it the red head turned around and slapped Harry's arm.

' Okay ' Amelia thought diverting her attention to a sulking Tom.

" It just came out when we were talking and then- I...I don't know- I was just.... I feel weird when I think about her it's crazy and - I'll just show you" Tom pulled out a small black box and when he opened it a small ring with sapphire in the middle.
