HERS.
Today is that kind of day where you just want to stay in bed and get drunk on hot choco while wearing your oversized hoodie and hiding under a think comforter but my alarm clock has to stop that dream.
This is also the day my car chose to act up. It won't start again. It has been acting like this ever since and people would just tell me to trade it with a new one. At that time, I can't afford it since I was just starting at work and Skye is my priority. Hopefully now, I'll be able to afford a new one.
Days like this, I just go to Koa's house and ask Francis for some help. Kyler's not here too.
"Hey, Luna!" Koa greeted as I knocked.
"What's up?""It's my car." I scratched my head. "It's doing it again."
"Oh, Francis just left." She already knows. "Sorry, Luna..."
"This must not be my lucky day!" I laughed. "I think I'll just take a cab. Thanks, Koa!"
I turned around and started walking back to the coffee shop to get Skye and the coffees I made. I think I'll just walk Skye to school and take a cab from there.
Working from home entered my mind but today's a Friday and we have a meeting every Friday with the director and the VP.
"Luna!"
I turned around and saw Calum running towards me.
"Hey, Calum!" I smiled as I waited for him.
He is wearing skinny jeans, shirt and flannel. I just noticed that he has dark, thick hair and the sweetest smile I have ever seen.
"I heard your car's not working?" He asked as we started walking together going to the coffee shop.
"Yeah, unfortunately." I replied.
"What's wrong?"
"Well, this happens. It's not new to me anymore. I just bought it so going to the office would be easier but I think I'm going to trade it with a new one as soon as possible."
"I can try and fix it." He offered. "Just maybe until you have the time to look for a new one."
"Oh, no." I said. "It's a hopeless case."
"Well, I can check." He insists. "It's starting to get cold too."
I smiled.
"Okay, if you insist." I raised my shoulders. "How can I resist?"
He laughed. It's the cutest laugh I've ever heard.
I got the coffees I made from the shop and made Calum one since he ordered too.
"Let's go, Skye!" I told Skye while carrying his backpack on my other hand and holding his hand on the other.
"Can I walk with you?" Calum asked.
"Sure!" I said while looking over to my mom. "We're leaving!"
She just smiled. As if teasing me with Calum.
"I can carry Skye's backpack if you want?" Calum asked while slowly taking Skye's backpack from my shoulder.
"You're taking it already, though." We both laughed.
At first, he was walking beside me while sipping his coffee. He wore Skye's backpack on his right shoulder. Just when we got to the streets, he transferred to the other side of Skye. I don't know why Skye held his hand too.
"We're walking today, Skye." I said. "Whitey is not working again."
"That's alright, mommy."
I looked over to Calum. He's just looking forward and watching out for cars.
