It was quite an unusual evening, because a few days ago Lando asked Arthur out on a date- which wasn't weird at all since they'd been dating for four years now. But that time it was different, Lando told Arthur to dress nicely- which he never did- but Arthur didn't ask questions.
That evening they went out, Lando had reserved a private place in one of the fanciest restaurants of Monaco.
From where they sat they had a "Breath taking" (like Arthur said) view over Monaco. The sun sat pretty low, but not fullt'y setting yet.
Lando seemed pretty tense, but Arthur didn't ask questions. He tought it was probably because he'd start racing again soon, but man he was wrong.
After they had ate Lando excused himself to the toilets. Lando walked there quickly and locked it once he got in.
"It's gonna be okay Lando, stop worrying. He's not gonna say no." Lando talked to himself in the mirror while fidgeting with the small, velvety, black, box in his pocket.
He splashed some water in his face to calm himself down as much a she could, and quickly dried it off before walking back to Arthur.
The moment their gaze's met Arthur's face lit ip, just like every time he saw Lando. Lando decided he'll wait until they had dessert before asking it.
Arthur and him where picking dessert as Arthur pointed at something on the card, "Chocolate cake to share with a love" was the cake's name. "That's a great idea" Lando smiled as he took Arthur's hand under the table interwining their fingers.
After their dessert had arrived Lando looked even more tense, so Arthur decided to talk to him. "Are you okay mon amour? You seem so tense? What's wrong?" Arthur asked worriedly.
Lando took a deep breath "Arthur, since that moment we met, we immediately clicked. Even tho we where just playing video games, I knew something was special about you. I knew you where the one I wanted to spend my life with. The boy I had fallen for in such a short time. The person who could make even the baddest days good. Then the faccetiles in the evening, that quickly became a nightly thing. Then the secter meet-ups, we started dating, I was so happy to finally be able to call you my boyfriend. Your almost perfect to me. Just almost. Because there's one thing I don't like about you. Your last name. So.. " Lando said meaningly as he stood up and kneeled, Arthur's eyes already filled with happy tears.
"Arthur, will you marry me and become Arthur Norris?" Lando asked as Arthur actualy started crying (happy tears).
"Yes! Ofcourse I will!" Arthur smiled as Lando stood up and wrapped his arms around Arthur tightly before sliding the dark silver ring he chose for Arthur.
"It's beautiful" Arthur smiled as he looked at the ring, it was simple but beautiful like Arthur said.
The ring *just pretend there's "I love you" carved in it and not the brand of whatever it is*

And like that they lived happily ever after, because this wasn't an ending. This was just the begin of something new.
