Promises

He's dying Niall

Harry's POV:

Myself and Louis had been sat beside Liam for several hours now, he knew we were here which was nice but he was so weak. As the evening closed in the doctor came by I looked at Louis and then back at the doctor and said 'Is everything alright' the doctor looked down at the floor and said 'My colleagues and I have finally made a decision about Mr Payne. We don't think he's going to get better, he's getting weaker with every second that passes, all we're doing is just making him as comfortable as we can'. 

Louis pulled me into his chest as I burst into tears, I looked over at the doctor and said 'Would we be able to fly him home so that his boyfriend and family can be with him' the doctor shook his head slightly and said 'Mr Styles he's dying he wouldn't survive a plane journey home, it's time to say goodbye'.

After the doctor left I walked over to the window to get some fresh air and that was when I saw a familiar head of blonde hair walking out of the hospital, I took a deep breath and said 'Niall' Louis turned around and said 'What where' I pointed out of the window before running out of the ward and down towards the main entrance. I ran down the steps and into the courtyard I frantically looked around but couldn't see him so I went round the corner where the shelter tents were set up, I got up on a large rock and shouted 'NIALL' I closed my eyes for a split second and then I heard it 'HARRY' I opened my eyes and saw Niall making his way back through a crowd towards me, I jumped down from the rock and ran towards him. 

Niall's POV:

I was about to get back on the truck with all of the survivors and except that my friends were gone forever, but then amongst all the noise I heard someone scream my name at the top of their lungs I turned around and saw Harry stood on top of a rock I started to run back towards him as I shouted his name and when I looked back up he was running towards me. It felt like ages but finally we reached each-other and I pulled him into a massive hug, tears streamed down my face soaking the collar on Harry's white t-shirt. 

We both pulled away and Harry said 'I'm so glad your safe Niall, myself and Louis have been so worried' I hugged him again and said 'I thought I'd never see you and Louis again, I tried to stay with Liam but we got separated and I don't know where he is', Harry took my hand and said 'Come with me Liam's up on one of the wards, but it's not good Niall'. 

I stopped and said 'What do you mean it's not good, Liam's okay isn't he' Harry turned around and said 'He's dying Niall, the doctors want to turn his life support off tonight', as we got inside the main hospital entrance I walked over to one of the pay phones and started to dial Zayn's mobile number Harry stepped beside me and said 'Who are you calling' I cleared my throat and said 'Zayn I have to let him know that I've found you guys, but do I tell him about Liam'. 

Harry didn't have a chance to give me an answer as I heard Zayn's voice on the other end of the phone.

(Z = Zayn and N = Niall)

Z: Hello 

N: Zayn it's me Niall

Z: Niall thank god your okay

N: I have some good news Zayn I've found the boys. Louis and Harry are doing great

Z: And Liam is he okay

N: He's here at the same hospital where I found Harry and Louis, but Zayn I've got something to tell you it's not good news

Z: Tell me please

N: He's dying Zayn, the doctor's want to turn his life support off tonight

(Zayn breaks down in tears over the phone)

Z: I can't believe this is happening, I'm never going to see him again. He's never going to see our baby being born

N: Zayn I'm going to hang up and face time you on one of the hospital tablets, that way you'll be able to see Liam one last time

Z: Ok thank you Niall. I'll speak to you in a minute

(End of call)

I sunk down to the floor and buried my head in my hands, Harry crouched down in front of me and said 'Niall what did Zayn say' I looked up at Harry and said 'He's pregnant Zayn's having Liam's baby'. 

Harry's POV:

I instantly felt a wave of different emotions wash over me mostly I was upset about Liam but then I also felt happy for Zayn but sad at the same time that Liam would never get to see the baby or that he and Zayn would never get the wedding they'd always dreamt of. I stood up and said 'Come on Niall let's get back to Louis and Liam, and then we can call Zayn back so he can say goodbye to Liam' Niall stood up and wiped the tears from his eyes with the sleeve of his t-shirt and together we walked back up to the ward where Liam was. 

As we walked into the ward I saw Louis standing by the window I cleared my throat and said 'Look who I found' Louis turned around and ran into Niall's warm arms and said 'I'm so glad your alright Niall', I hugged Louis as Niall walked over to Liam's bed and sat down on the chair and started talking to Liam but Liam was so weak he could barely talk. 

Eventually one of the nurses bought us one of the tablets so we could call Zayn after an anxious wait Zayn eventually answered. 

(H = Harry, L = Louis, N = Niall and Z = Zayn)

H: Zayn it's so good to see you

Z: You to Harry how are you?

H: I'm okay Zayn, I've got Louis and Niall here and Liam as-well

L: Hey Zayn it's so good to see you we've missed you

Z: I've missed you as-well, can you show me Liam

L: Yeah course I can, hang on I'll turn the camera around

Z: There he is hello my love

N: He's really weak Zayn he can't really talk

Z: That's ok I'll just talk to him. Liam I love you so much and I've got something that I need to tell you, I'm pregnant Liam and it's yours

I promise that I'll always love you, and when the baby's born I'll tell him or her all about you and how amazing you were

L: When did you find out you were pregnant Zayn

Z: The day before Niall rang me to tell me what had happened

N: We're happy for you Zaynie  

H: Yeah we are. We're going to be flying home as soon as we can Zayn
