Tori's POV

Part of me knew that Jade would ditch me tonight, I saw it coming. But, nonetheless I was still wounded. She kept hurting me time and time again, yet my stupid heart still loved her. That was, until now. When Jamie confessed her feelings, I realized I can like someone who doesn't throw me away until they need me. Someone who doesn't pretend to be my friend and then shut me out the minute we're around other people. She liked me for who I was, which was a nice change of pace. I was by no means over Jade yet, but I hoped I would be soon. When Jamie and I got back to my house, I almost drowned my pain in her lips. Which was not a good idea nor coping mechanism, but I didn't care. I just wanted to feel loved, and dammit I was going to start loving myself too. She was an amazing kisser, nothing less than what I'd expected. Everyone in the house was asleep by now, so I wasn't the least bit worried about making out with her before we'd even gotten a chance to make it back up to my bedroom. Somehow I felt safer that way though, I didn't want us taking to many leaps forward if you know what I mean. Not that I thought she would try anything, however I could never be too careful.

We broke apart after what felt like hours of being tangled up in one another. Not once did she reach under my clothes or make any attempt to remove them, and I was very grateful for that. It helped reassure me that she wasn't just after me to get in my pants. We took this moment to look into eachother's eyes, and woah, they were pretty. From a distance they looked mostly brown. But here, up close, they were a sea of green, brown, and even some touches of yellow. Jamie was truly gorgeous, in every sense of the word. "Wow.." She blushed, looking away from me.

"What? See something you like?" I nodded, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "I should've told you I liked you sooner, that was worth every moment." I giggled, kind of taken aback at how much someone could be interested in me.

"You're flattering me, and that will get you everywhere." I smirked, trying to hide how incredibly shy I actually was. She kissed my cheek lovingly. I was screaming inside, but somehow kept my cool.

"Will that get me a glass of water?" She was so cute, too. I was going to enjoy this.

"It will." I turned on my heel and headed for the fridge. Our fridge had one of those built in water and ice maker things, but I decided to be a little nicer. I grabbed a lemon slice out of the fridge, and placed in on the glass. It was a bit extra, yes, but that's just the kind of person I am. With a huge smile on my face, I opened my phone. A new message from Jade? Several of them, actually. She seemed frantic, telling me not to open whatever she'd sent me and to just delete the dm. But now that I was curious I debated on whether or not I should wait to open it.

Boy, I wish I'd listened.

The cup fell directly out of my hand, shattering when it hit the ground. It was as if time had stopped, and I could no longer breathe.

"What the- Tori?! What happened??" Jamie asked, rushing over to me. I couldn't speak, words wouldn't form in my head much less come out of my mouth.

"I...I need to sit down, now." Jamie guided me to the couch, a worried look on her face. "Can you give me a second to catch my breath? I need...a minute, or several." The hazel eyed girl decided not to press anymore, and hurried to clean up the shattered glass on the floor. A million thoughts were running through my mind at once. Should I delete it? Should I pretend I'd never seen it, confront her about it? The selfish voice in my head wanted to keep it, but that felt incredibly invasive. Plus, I was trying to move on, and that's kind of impossible with a pair of your former crush's tits staring at you. In all that panic though, I'd forgotten to read what her texts actually said.

@JadeWest: oh my god.

Shit. Vega.

Don't you dare open this, just delete the dm.
