Starting a new life

The next day Mrs. Miller went to the shop to buy some groceries but while she was walking through the aisle a woman stopped her. "Excuse me mam but aren't you the woman who's daughter survived getting hit by a truck?" asked the woman. "How do you know about that?" said Mrs. Miller shocked. "It's all over the news." answered the woman. Mrs. Miller nodded and walked away. When she got home she told her husband what happened and they both agreed to move to a different town so their daughter can grow up in peace. Sadly that wasn't how things went down. Every year they moved to a different town since people kept finding them. 10 years have passed and Alix has grown up beautifully. Two days after her birthday her and her parents moved to a different town again.

"Don't worry Alix I promise this is the last time we're moving, the people in this town don't know anything about you." said Mrs. Miller. "Whatever you say mom."Alix rolled her eyes. Today's Alix's first day at her new school. She was wearing black tekkies, blue jeans, a red shirt and a black hoodie. When she arrived at school two girls were looking at her weirdly. She immediately realised that they were the bullies of the school so she ignored them. Suddenly a girl grabbed her arm and pulled her aside. "What are you doing here!" the girl said. "Do I know you?" asked Alix in a sassy tone. "Not yet but I know you, you're Alix Miller the girl who survived getting hit by a truck, the girl who was looking at you is Elizabeth she hates anyone who tries to compete against her." the girl answered. "Why are you telling me this?" Alix asked. "Look if you want to fit in here you have to keep a low profile, you don't insult Elizabeth, don't talk to her, don't talk about her, don't look at her and don't talk to Daniel, my name is Emily by the way." Emily said and she walked away.

Alix picked her bag up and walked to class. After about 20 minutes of searching she finally found her classroom. When she got to class the lesson already started. She knocked on the door. As soon as the teacher turned around she smiled. "S-Sorry I'm late, I had some t-trouble finding the classroom." Alix apologised. "Oh no need to apologise, it's the first day so new classrooms, new classmates and new teachers." said the teacher. She let out a small giggle. "What's your name honey?" she asked. "A-Alix." Alix answered. "Nice to meet you Alix my name is Anna Lightwood but you can call me Miss Wood, please sit wherever you feel comfortable sitting." said Miss Wood. Alix nodded and walked to the back of the class.

"Ok class since some of you are new why don't we introduce ourselves, I'll start, hello everyone my name is Miss Wood and I can't wait to get to know you." said Miss Wood. Alix started panicking. Everything was great but when it was Alix's turn everyone turned to look at her. She stood up and started speaking "Hi my name is Alix and my favorite color is red.". She sat back down. "Hey Alix do you mind telling us what your full name is." asked Miss Wood. Suddenly a shiver ran down Alix's spine. If they didn't know her before they're surly gonna know her now. She got up and spoke "Ummmm well my full name is Alix Mi-.". Just then the bell rang. Everyone started packing up. "Oh that's the bell, I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day goodbye." Miss Wood said in a happy tone. Alix was so relieved. She packed her stuff and got up to leave. Outside the classroom stood Emily. As Alix walked out of the class she almost got a heart attack when she saw Emily. "Hi Alix!" Emily yelled in a exciting voice. Hi uhhh Emma." Alix answered. "Actually it's Emily but it's ok, so what do you think of Miss Wood?" Asked Emily wide-eyed. "Well she's nice I guess." Alix said confused. "Now if you don't mind I'm going to go eat.". Alix walked away. She sat on a bench and took out her lunch, just then a boy approached her. He was tall with black hair and beautiful green eyes. "Hey your new here right?" He asked in a joking manner. "Was it that obvious?" Alix said in a sarcastic tone. The boy just giggled and sat down next to her. He leaned in close and whispered in her ear "I know who you are and why you're here.". He was so close she could feel his warm breath on her cheek.She felt shivers run down her spine. "W-Why I'm here, you mean to learn?" She said quickly. Alix looked away quickly and spotted a girl walking towards her. She didn't want to make eye contact with anyone so she looked Alix looked up to see a tall brunette with nasty scars all over her face. The boy leaned into her and whispered "Your welcome.". He grabbed Alix's hand and tugged it slightly to make her fall forward. Her lips crashed into his and the girl immediately shoves Alix off the boy. "Who do you think you are kissing him!" Yelled the girl. "And who are you?" Alix asked in a sarcastic tone. "I'm Elizabeth and that is my boyfriend your kissing!" The girl yelled. Alix turns to look at the boy. "Wait your Daniel?" She asks. The boy nods and smiles sweetly. Elizabeth grabs Alix by the arm and pulls her to her feet. She drags her off to the locker room. Alix pulls her arm away and runs off. She runs back to the bench she was sitting on. When she arrived she noticed that Daniel wasn't there. Not taking notice of that she grabs her lunch and walks outside to get some fresh air. Suddenly she felt an arm on her shoulder pulling her behind I tree. "First day and I'm already getting kidnapped, just my luck. Why did I not expect this to happen. Everyone wants the undead girl."she thought to herself. When she finally snaps back she feels a pair of strong arms wrapped around her. She looks up to she the black haired boy. He looked...concerned. Once he noticed Alix staring at him he looked directly into her eyes. He leaned in closer and Alix could feel her heart beating faster. Suddenly he shoves her away and she falls on the floor. She tries to get up but Daniel steps on her stomach with his foot, pushing her body down. He makes direct eye contact with her and leans down. "I know who you are Alix Miller." He says in and raspy voice. Alix was horrified at the mention of her name. "Don't worry" he continued. "I'm not here to hurt you, I'm here to help.". Alix was very confused and it showed. "So undead Alix wanna join me after class?" He asked. "But won't that be cheating on your girlfriend?" Alix said smugly. Daniel bursts into laughter. "She's not my girlfriend." He manages to say. He takes his foot of her chest and sticks out a hand. Alix slaps it away and gets up on her own. Before she could walk away Daniel grabbed her arm while messing up his hair. "What are you doing?" She asked. "You'll see." He said. He pulls the jacket he's wearing half off. He looks like he just got beat up. In one swift movement he spins Alix and pins her to the tree. He gives her a kiss on the cheek and runs away. Still shocked she walks back to class by the time she got to class Daniel was already in his seat. He winked at Alix but she ignored him and took her seat. She took her hood of since it was really hot outside. "What happened to her hair!" a voice from behind her screeched. Everyone turned to look at Alix. Alix reaches up to touch her hair. She brings her hand back down and sees the crimson liquid on it. Oh. My. God. There was blood in her hair!
