Chapter 7: Necessary Sacrifice

In Menagerie.....

Boris, Casper, Sun and Blake were all heading out to find volunteers. "Are you all ready?" asked Blake. "I've taken on Grimm and robots, I'm sure I can get a few signatures," said Sun. "We'll do our best," said Boris. "On it," said Casper. So the four headed off to find people. "Your chieftain needs you! Help us defend Haven!" Blake tried to get help, but didn't have much luck. Sun was trying with a Ram Faunus, but no luck. Boris was talking with a Wolf Faunus, and he said, "Look, Adam will kill you if you don't help, so, I think it will be better to take a stand against him. So, what do you say?" "What do you think you're doing?" asked an elder Faunus. She then dragged the Wolf Faunus away. Boris sighed, "Poopy poo." Casper was in the air, dive bombing people, and yelling, "HELP HAVEN!!! SAVE THE WORLD!!" He only succeeded in scaring people away.

Soon, after a while, they got together. "Ugh, I just don't get it!" said Sun, "How can they just sit around while the White Fang destroy Haven!?!?" "They're scared," said Blake, "they came here to get away from all the fighting, and here we are asking them to put their lives on the line for people they don't even know." "I guess I never thought of it like that." "And you did a GREAT job Casper," said Boris. "Hey, I was trying to get as many as I could!" "You scared them away with your dive-bombing." Blake just sighed, and said, "If Adam destroys Haven, then it's going to make everything worse for the Faunus. Everywhere." "Adam," said Sun, "He's the one you used to work with." "Yes," said Blake, "I have thought of a personification of words for my friends." "Really?" asked Casper. "Yes, after getting to know them, Ruby is the embodiment of 'pure'. Weiss is 'defiance'. Yang was 'strength'. Bendy was 'kind'. Boris is 'smart'. Alex was 'silly'. Gamma was 'strict'. Kathy was 'sassy'. Steve was 'average'. Silhouette was 'Dark but caring'." "What about us?" asked Sun, pointing to him and Casper. Blake then said, "You're 'earnest', and Casper is..... 'loyalty'. When I first met Adam, I thought he was 'justice'. Then I thought he was 'passion'. But I soon realized, he was 'spite'. Not 'rage', not 'anger', just 'spite'. He won't accept equality. He won't stop at anything until he wipes humanity from the face of Remnant." "If he knew about Earth, do you think he would attack the humans there?" asked Boris. ".........Yes. Even though they did nothing to him. And I'm worried about Ilia. She might take after him in the worst ways, like I almost did." "Your friend," said Sun, "What's her story?" "She's a Chameleon Faunus. Her skin means that she could pass as Human. She could've chosen a normal life, but when her parents died in a mining accident, she showed her true colors." "She revealed she was....." said Casper. "Wow, figurative, and literally," said Boris, "You know, you will face her eventually." "I know," said Blake. "What will you do when you do?" asked Casper. "Well, Sun here taught me that when a friend is in need of help, you should help them. I was here in guilt and fear, but you never gave up on me. That's what I'm going to do with Ilia. It's time I saved my friends for once." They all smiled. "That's the Blake we know."

In Mistral.....

Bendy was looking for Ruby, when he saw her talking with Oscar. He heard some stuff, and got a mischievous smirk. When Ruby came back up, he said, "So, real smooth with the men?" Ruby jumped, and saw Bendy. "Bendy, how much did you hear?" "All of it. I know Oscar is scared, we all are. And I can see that you may see Oscar as much more than just a friend." Ruby then blushed, "W-W-W-W-W-WHAT?! NO, we're not......" "Denial, YOU DO LOVE HIM!!!!" "Shut up!! We need to get going before Nora eats everything!" "Oh right," said Bendy, taking off. Oscar, I know you feel that way too, but I'm afraid you won't have much time, said Ozpin. "I-I-I just want a normal life," said Oscar. I did too, said Ozpin, but life doesn't always go the way you want it to.

In Menagerie.....

Ilia was just finished with getting her task, when she heard something. "You sure you want to go down this path?" She turned to see a small devil, with a golden color scheme, and blue eyes. "What do you mean?" "I can see your memories, and I see pain, and the plan." "It will work. It's what's needed for the Faunus!" "Do they really need to be killed for revenge on humanity? That's not the work of a hero, it's the work of a psycho path." "I NEED TO DO IT!!! ADAM WILL SAVE US ALL!!!" "Would you're parents want you to kill your own kind, just because someone made fun of you for being different?" Ilia just stopped, and said, "How did you...." "I can see your memories, remember?" Ilia looked down at the ground, and turned blue. "Think about it. I'll see you around. By the way, the name's Gold. I'm from the Dream Team. Just think about it for a bit, before you make your final decision." Ilia looked at the ground, and then her mask. She then crushed it, and said, "I will do it, for you, mom and dad."
