Chapter 5: Complications

Ghira looked at the crowd. "Are you ready?" asked Kali. "Yes," said Ghira, "but it won't be easy for them to hear, but the truth often isn't. I know they'll do the right thing." Blake then puts a comforting hand on his shoulder, and Ghira looks at Blake, Boris and Casper smiling at him. Sun then said, "You got this." Everyone then looks at Sun. Ghira then steps out with the group, and says, "Thank you for assembling here. Today, I have some disturbing news. No matter how much you hate the humans, you deserve the truth. The White Fang was lead by Adam Taurus, and helped the Fall of Beacon." The crowd gasped and murmured amongst themselves. "Quiet please. Now, a spy has recently tried to take care of these fine people here." Boris and Casper stepped forward. "Yes," said Ghira, "And this scroll shows that Adam plans to overthrow the White Fang Leader, and launch a full scale attack on Haven Academy. It is clear, that Adam Taurus doesn't think Humans and Faunus should be treated as equals. I think it's time the Faunus showed the world that they are equals! I say we find this splinter group, and snuff them out!!" The crowd cheered. "And the answer is clear for what we must do: We must go to Haven, and help protect it!" The crowd stopped cheering. Ghira then cleared his throat, "Before we go any further, I'd like to invite my daughter to come and share her story. Not only as a former member of the White Fang, but as a survivor of the Fall of Beacon." Blake looked to Ghira, and Boris and Sun said, "You can do this." "TRAITORS!!" yelled a voice. A figure unsheathes her cloak, to reveal Ilia. "Cowards, after everything that the humans have done to us, NOW you want us to help them!?! Where was the help when the Dust Companies treated us like slaves!?! Where was the help when the kingdoms hunted us for who we are!?! WHERE WAS THE HELP WHEN MY PARENTS WERE IN A MINING ACCIDENT!?!?" Boris had enough. He then screamed, "AT LEAST WE HAVEN'T SLAYED OUR OWN KIND, LIKE THAT BULL TARUS DOES EVERY DAY TO FAUNUS WHO OPPOSE HIM!!!!!" The crowd fell silent, "YEAH, I WAS THERE!!! ADAM DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THE FAUNUS!!! HE ONLY CARES ABOUT REVENGE!! AND I HAVE SEEN HIM KILL THE FAUNUS WHO TRIED TO TAKE HIM TO THE AUTHORITIES!!!!" Ilia quickly retreated. Boris then twisted his ears, but Casper stopped him. "She's not worth it buddy," said the crow.

In Haven....

Oscar Pine sat in the armchair with everyone looking at him. He was a bit uncomfortable. "So," said Bendy, "This is Ozpin?" "Did he age backwards?" asked Nora. "Is he possessed?" asked Jaune. "Or reincarnated," said Ren. "It really is Ozpin," said Silhouette. "This is so weird," said Ruby. "Yes, it is very weird," said Oscar. "Okay, okay, can we please take a second? I know this is all overwhelming for everyone." Everyone steps back and chuckles nervously. Bendy, Ruby, Steve and Kathy all sit together, Jaune, Pyrrha, Ren, Silhouette, Mater, Gamma and Qrow stay standing. Oscar then looks at Ruby, and blushes, as Ruby giggles. "Sorry," said Oscar, "It's just the first time I've ever met Huntsmen before,.... and aliens." "Um, we prefer the term, toons, please," said Bendy. "Sorry," said Oscar. "C'mon!!" said Mater, "Do the thing!!" Oscar closes his eyes, and they glow, and a familiar voice comes out. "Hello, students, it's good to see you again." "Um," said Steve, "Is this real?" "DNA DOES NOT MATCH OF PROFESSOR OZPIN!" said Gamma, "HOWEVER, HIS BRAINWAVES AND SPEECH PATTERN MATCH PERFECTLY!" "See, when I die, I reincarnate with a like minded soul, who shares the same beliefs as me, and so forth." "Wow," said Bendy, "So, that story that Blake was reading the night before initiation, about a man with two souls, did you write that?" "Yes, I did." "Story of his life in a nutshell," said Kathy.

In the forest....

Weiss woke up to find herself in a cage, and her hands bound in rope and in a cage. She then turned to see Esther tied up in rope, chains, and tape. "Esther, why are you so heavily restrained?" asked Weiss. "I'm a toon," said Esther, "I can escape from anything for plot convenes. And those guys were staring at me like perverts." Weiss then saw two bandits standing outside. Another came out with Weiss' and Esther's weapons. "Hello Vernal," said Esther. "You're friend's awake," said Vernal. "What are you gonna do, blackmail for money?" "Yes, exactly," said Venal. "Alex will save us," said Esther. "You mean the stick man that's been launched out of this camp for at least 50 times." Just then, a punch was heard, and Alex flew overhead, and crashed outside the walls. "He doesn't know when to give up," said Vernal. "Well, I love his loyalty to his friends," said Esther, "That's what made us start dating." "Just wait," said Weiss, "When my sister, Winter, finds I'm not in Mistral, she'll come looking for me." "Weiss," said Esther, "I've tried that already. Ironwood has already closed the borders to Atlas." "What?.... wait, what about you?" Esther sighed, and said, "Since I'm a 'freak', they're gonna sell me to another person in need of maid or worker." As the bandits laugh, Alex appears from behind, and he smacked the two guard's heads together, knocking them out. "YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME!?!?! YOU WANNA PIE...." Alex was then punched, and beaten, and thrown into the cage. "Our hero," said Weiss sarcastically. "At least he tried!" snapped Esther. "Wake me when the pancakes are ready mommy," whimpered Alex.

Haven....

"Not sure if that's the best idea," said Qrow, "Leo's been acting weird." "I thought the headmasters kept everything in order," said Ren. "That's how it's supposed to be," said Ozpin, "Four lieutenants that I can trust, especially during times of reincarnation. But your meeting with Leo has concerned me. He's not following instructions that I gave him." "So, what do we do?" asked Mater. "We find more Huntsmen," said Ozpin. "But doesn't the council know all-" "Not all of them," Ozpin interrupted Silhouette, "I've been here enough time to know who to trust and who not to trust. For now, we must move onto step two." "And that is?" asked Kathy. "Getting you all into shape!" Everyone was confused. "But, we already know how to fight," said Ruby. "You can only fight if you have Crescent Rose, but your hand to hand combat is lacking!" "She got you there," said Steve. "Mr. Arc, I'm glad to hear you've improved, but you still have to unlock your semblance. Mr. Devil, you need to learn that speed isn't always the best way." "What!?!" asked Bendy, "But I'm the fastest thing alive!!" "Speak for yourself Faker," said Silhouette. "Oh whatever," said Bendy. "You all still have a long way to go until you're ready to pose any real threat against Salem and her forces. And Oscar has temporary control, he'll need to inherit his body and Aura." Wait, what? asked Oscar in his head. "He'll inherit my muscle memory in time, but practice will expedite the process." "So, you're gonna train us?" Ozpin then backflipped, and landed perfectly, and said, "After all, I was the headmaster of Beacon Academy. We have approximately one month until classes resume in Haven. If Salem were to attack here, it would make sense that she would target the students. We don't have much time, so don't go easy on me." "Heh, I've taken down gods, inter-dimensional beings, and monsters as old as time," said Bendy, "I think I can manage." "We just got one more problem," said Silhouette, "We're short one Chaos Emerald, and we believe that Cinder might have taken it when Bendy, Pyrrha and Ruby were unconscious on the tower." Ozpin then said, "We have the rest, we have the advantage." Ozpin then gave Oscar control, and he fell backwards. Everyone looks at him with varied expressions.

In the camp....

Esther looked at the bandits guarding, and they were asleep. Alex was still out, and Esther said, "Now Weiss." Weiss then summoned a small knight, and she started cutting her ropes. "Time to bust out of here," said Weiss. Esther smirked.
