When Giovanni said 'both' of us cooking, he really meant him while I sit and watch. Which it partially didn't bother me because Rhett never cooked. It was nice getting to sit and get to know Giovanni more. It was nice having him in my life. Nova also really enjoyed Enzo's company. They have been playing none stop. We both have checked on the kids, in which they didn't even notice us stopping in. My ovaries are screaming at me seeing them play like that. Not like that's going to happen anytime soon though.
Giovanni ended up making garlic parmesan chicken and the whole kitchen smelt amazing. I noticed that he was almost done cooking so I got up and went to walk away.
"Are you okay?" I hear Giovanni call out. I turn around and smile.
"Yeah. I'm just going to go get the kiddos and bring them down to eat." I stop at the bottom of the stairs while he just looks at me.
"I can just call Heather and have her bring them down you know." He says as he leans on the door frame to the kitchen. I laugh a little.
"I am well aware you can call the nanny. However, I do not mind helping with our kids. I'm used to it anyways. Sometimes I do enjoy a break. But I also enjoy being a mom." I look at his smile grow. He walks up to me, grabs my hand and kisses it.
"You amaze me everyday, bellissima. Definitely a good woman. Alrighty then. I'll make everyone's plates and get them ready at the table." He says before walking back to the kitchen. I smile as he walks away. I head back up to Enzo's room. I open the door to see two grumpy kids with Heather just watching tv. It pissed me off to say the least. Enzo sees me before Nova does.
"Morgan! We missed you!" He runs into my arms with Nova right on his tail. I pick both kids up, which is harder to do than I thought, but I did it anyways. I look at Heather who hasn't taken her eyes off the tv.
"How long have they been crying and fussing like this?" I ask very pissed at this point. Heather turns and scoffs before she looks back to the tv. I roll my eyes and walk away. I do not feel like fighting with some child over her actions. I walk down with both kids and they both relax their heads on my shoulders. Giovanni turns around from talking with his parents at the table and walks over to me. He looks at me as he takes Enzo.
"What's wrong bellissima?" He asks noticing I look angry. I just shake my head and try to walk away. He grabs me and turns me around.
"Don't shut me out. Please. What is wrong?" He asks. At this point he was just loud enough his parents heard him. I sigh in defeat.
"When I went to go get the kids, they were both fussing and crying. What was Heather doing? Sitting watching tv. Even once I tried addressing her, she laughed and started watching tv. It's annoying. No our children weren't being hurt, but they were being ignored and, sorry for my language," I say looking over to his parents, "but it pissed me off. You pay her to watch your child, but she couldn't be bothered." I finish ranting and I look him in the eyes. He looked just as frustrated.
"Mi piace suo figlio. Lei è sicuramente una custode. È anche una buona madre. Starà bene con Enzo." Lyla says to Giovanni. I was worried it was something bad, but he smiled at me. (I like her son. She is definitely a keeper. She is also a good mother. She will be good around Enzo.)
"Come sit Morgan. Let Giovanni handle this while we get situated." Gustavo said to me. Which shocked me. I take Enzo back form Giovanni and go set them in the high chairs at the table. Giovanni starts up the stairs. I get Nova and Enzo in their high chairs and sit next to Nova.
"I want to apologize for my behavior earlier Morgan. Your father used to talk about you a lot. Him and I just have some unfinished business. That has nothing to do with you. You and your daughter are both quiet lovely." Gustavo says as he fixes Enzo's hair. I smile at him.
