a/n: Hi! SO sorry I haven't updated in a while! I will totally update more often. Just so y'all know, I'm going to kind of gloss over Danielle's time on The Voice because the meat of our story happens after she gets off the show.

Without further ado, I shut up and tell the story.

*Haley's POV*

I could hardly believe it when Dani told me she was auditioning for NBC's The Voice! I was so flipping excited for her.

I flew out to LA to watch her Blind Audition. I said a prayer to God telling Him to turn a chair for my best friend. Not that she needed it, but just in case. I was in the viewing room with Danielle's family. I saw Dani walk onstage shyly on the small TV screen.

"You can do this, Dani!" I shouted.

"Presenting the newest member of Team Blake!" Carson announced as Danielle rocketed through the glass double doors leading into the viewing room.

Danielle squeezed her parents. Her dad lifted her up and twirled her around. "I'm so proud of you!" Her dad shouted.

She gave me a hug. "I knew you could do it!" I squealed. "You were so good!"

"Thanks, Haley." Danielle smiled. "It means a lot to me that you're here. I have to go get my stuff settled in the hotel now. I don't know when I'll see you next, but I love you. Text me when you get back to Texas."

"Love you too." I said, tears streaming down my face. "Keep chasing your dreams!" I called after her.

She gave me a thumbs-up, and then got into a van that was going to her hotel.

I'm gonna miss that girl so much.

*Danielle's POV*

Because it's the finale, I got to bring all of my family and friends out to LA to watch me perform. It was amazing to have them there, but I felt so much more pressure to win the show for them.

I was standing onstage with Michelle Chamuel and the Swon Brothers. We had our arms around each other. Carson was about to announce who was in third place. In the end, I don't care if I win or lose. Michelle and the Swon Brothers are both so talented. Plus, Blake's probably gonna sign me to his record label.

"In third place, The Swon Brothers!" Carson yelled. Michelle and I each gave Colton and Zach a hug. They're practically my brothers.

"Love you guys." I said, tears streaming down my face. It's a good thing the show only uses waterproof makeup, because everyone's a mess on elimination nights.

"Love you too, little sis." Colton said. "Keep being you."

My big brothers went to give Blake a hug. Michelle and I held hands in a death grip, each suspenseful as we waited to find out who won.

"I hope you win." Michelle said.

"I hope you win, too. You deserve it." I said.

"And the winner of The Voice Season 4 is...Danielle Bradbery!" Carson yelled. I gave Michelle a giant hug. She was my best friend on the show, and I knew that great things would happen for her. I was bawling my eyes out as Carson gave me the trophy. Papa Blake came over, and gave me a bear hug. "Congratulations, sweetie. You worked so hard." Papa said.

"Thanks for turning for me!" I said. "None of this would be possible without you."

"It was all you, sweetie. I love you so much, and this won't be the end of our work together." Papa said, and even he was crying.

"I'm staying in LA for a while so I can start recording my album, so I'll see you around." I said.

"Dani, the limo's here for the after party." A crew member whispered to me.

"I gotta go, Papa. See you at the after party!" I said.

"Go have fun, honey. You deserve it!" Papa Blake said.

I felt like I was living in a dream. I was floating on a cloud, and I never wanted this feeling to end.
