(Y/N POV - 3 days later - School - Modern Era)

Alright just need to speak with my teacher and hand off these assignments and I can get out of here.

It has been three days since we had returned into the modern era, and a late arrival into school that very same day as well. Me and Kagome came to school the next day. After an entire night dealing with a Kumogashira swarm and the trip back to Kaede's village by the time we arrived back at the Higurashi Shrine it would have been halfway through the school day.

That and we had to calm down Grandpa from nearly fainting after finding out we had to burn down a Buddhist temple.

Not helped by the fact that we were dealing Kumogashira or what happened with the Ne no Kubi.

Anyway it had been two days since we reentered school, and the gossip at school starting to grow crazy about us. Especially with the both of us disappearing shortly after my birthday and gone for a few days and returning at the same time.

While they were partially right, most of those rumors where blown out of preparation and quickly dwindled down. Yet both me and Kagome would prefer for those rumors not to be ignited once again.

We were already dealing with enough balancing life here and looking for the Shikon Jewel shards. So me and Kagome would prefer to enjoy what time we have together

I had been waiting for this date for a while...and honestly I am a bit nervous given this is our first date. But it should be alright with what we had planned.

Clearing my heads of those thought as I arrived to my teachers door and knocked on it.

"Come in." I heard my teacher said through the door before opening it to see him grading papers at his desk before looking up at me. "Yukinokouji right on time, I take it that you have brought everything then?"

"I brought everything from this week Kirin-sensei and half of the worksheets that you assigned for the upcoming week

"I brought everything from this week Kirin-sensei and half of the worksheets that you assigned for the upcoming week." I said, placing the assignments on his desk and getting Kirin-sensei to sigh. Although his smile betrayed his true feelings.

"Yukinokouji while I can not stop you from reading ahead especially while during your treatments, next time if you finish an assignment early turn it in as soon as you finished and not all at once." He said, getting me to nod.

"I will keep that in mind." I said with a smile.

Kirin-sensei was my favorite teacher this year, and perhaps in the last few years of school. And a lot of students shared a similar sentiment.

Despite only applying to our school last year when the previous English teacher retired, Osamu Kirin became a respected member of the faculty and by most of the students.

He was reasonable with both teaching and grading his students, willing to help his students if they were struggling and truly wishing to improve in class. Although he didn't approve of students fighting, he heard both sides reason for it if it occurred on school grounds and punished accordingly. He was so effective that had cut down on fighting in the school to near nothing.
