Mae Showers Bring Lillians

A blue eyed lady named Kayla was putting her hair up into a neat ponytail, her dog Kilo, who is a black German Shepherd and laying on the floor next to her. They were getting ready to go on a walk. The trail they decided to go on was very isolated, not many people dared to go on it. That is what made it so perfect. Nobody would be there.

On the way Kilo was hesitant to cross the street. He wouldn't go. Kayla walked in front of him to show him it's okay. She saw a truck headed towards her, but it missed her. Kilo followed after her when she made it to the other side.

While they were walking, the hill got pretty steep, which made it hard to walk down normally. They decided to have a little break, and found a hollowed out tree, which would shelter them from the sun. Kayla sat in it, and Kilo sat next to her. In the blink of a eye though, she was falling through, screaming and holding on to her dog as they fell into a strange, new place.

Kayla tried to pick leaves and sticks out of her hair while making sure Kilo was okay. This was a very strange place. It was oddly beautiful though. A red-head noticed them, and started to make conversion.

"Hey! My name is Anatak. I noticed you might need assistance?"

"Oh, uhm.... I don't exactly know where I am, or how we got here.... do you know..?"

"Well, you are in Mae! I could give you a lift to my farm. Ten X just cleaned the guest room." Anatak started "Ten X is my..... roommate. Anyways wanna ride?"

Kayla hesitated, but gave in since she had nowhere else to go. The horses Anatak had were strange. They looked like they came from hell. There were a lot of strange animals, not a single one looked normal.

Anatak went inside and Kayla followed after. A dark skinned lady with short hair and a single red streak eyed her.

"This is Ten X! Ten, this is... uhm"

"Kayla..."

"Right! Kayla! She is our guest so she will be upstairs for some time. I expect you will be nice?" Anatak smirked at Ten X. Ten X responded by rolling her eyes, then continued what she was doing on the computer. "So, what's your sleep schedule like? If you sleep at night then I should warn you, me and Ten get loud at night sometimes."

"I'm sure you won't be as loud as my husband's snoring" Kayla joked. She was met with blank stares. "Its uhm..."

"Its alright, I'll go get you some tea!" Anatak says running to the kitchen.

Kayla sits on the couch, while Kilo lays on the floor beside her. Kayla didn't let Kilo on the couch because she wasn't sure how Anatak or Ten X would react. Ten sat on the other couch while Anatak handed them both tea.

"Would you like sugar?" Anatak asked handing a bowl of sugar to Kayla.

"Yes, thank you!" Kayla said as she put a cube of sugar into her cup. She took a sip and decided she needed another cube. Anatak also added a cube into hers, Ten didn't add any in hers.

"There is gonna be a lovely party at Squishy's in 3 sunrises! To celebrate Babigor's first birthday!" Anatak said cheerfully. She seemed like she was always full of energy. Ten X gave Anatak a smirk when she started talking about the party.

Kayla had a headache and Kilo was whimpering. Kayla started coughing, this new world had bacteria and germs unfamiliar to Kilo or Kayla so it made them both a little sick. Thankfully they're not too sick for the party.

"We will have to run by Pop's house first" Ten X spoke up over Anatak's babbling. "We will have to pick him up so he can come"

"Oh yeah! He would love to come! And Mother to!" Anatak said joyfully.

"Oh, your parents are gonna come?" Kayla asked trying to be polite.

"Ha! No? Mother and Pops are not our parents, that's their names!" Anatak said with the same hyper energy.

"Oh, then their parents must've really wanted grandkids huh? Why else would you name your kids 'Mother' and 'Pops'"

"Huh? I don't think so? We don't really have parents. Everyone goes to live at the orphanage unless they are fast growing up creatures like Babigor, his birthday is every 30 sunrises." Anatak said. She talked a lot, in the most respectful way possible.

Anatak, Kayla, and occasionally Ten X talked until it was dark. They're no sense of time so Kayla went to bed once she got tired. Perhaps it was a weird dream and she'd wake up soon.
