Anatak and Ten woke Kayla up really early and they left to go to some really big feild. Kayla saw it before, it was covered in flowers. Katana looked mad.
"12 creatures were killed last night" she screamed as she threw a blade at a target. "I was barely too late, I saw them!" She was clearly in pain, but a mental type pain.
Katana walked up to Kayla. "You're new, what are you good at, huh? Odd that we were attacked 3 sunrises after you joined our village" she said, which made Kayla wince.
Anatak stepped in "Katana, she was with I and Ten X the whole time. The only time she wasn't with us, she was with her dog. I asked, she's fine."
"Well then, what is she good at?" Katana said with slight judgment in her voice still.
"She doesn't have any special qualities, she will need some special 'assistance'" Anatak said still defending Kayla. Not many could get away with talking up to Katana, but Anatak could. Anatak and Katana go way back, 'Anatak' is 'Katana' backwards. They have a complicated history, but when it comes down to it, Anatak could talk up to Katana because she has a level of bravery that no one else managed to get to.
"Fine" Katana hissed. She pointed to a lady named 'Mel' "get her a staff, she's gonna need to find some way to be useful!"
Mel handed Kayla a staff and ran off. Everyone had a power of some sort. Anatak was good with plants and animals, while Ten had some technology based power. Kayla noticed Jay who was good with rocks and snakes. Mel was pretty good with fire, and she was good with aim, especially when she threw her halo.
Kayla was trying to learn a spell with her new staff, which she had never done before. Katana noticed and hit herself on the forehead, which didn't make Kayla feel that hot. Kayla was then approached by a lady with bright pink eyes, and pretty blond hair.
"It's okay if you don't know how to do it. Allow me to give you some of my knowledge" she said. "I'm Miss Teapot by the way."
"Oh thank you" Kayla said, and slight grin growing on her face.
Miss Teapot guided Kayla's hand to hold the staff in a certain position. "This is how you hold a staff, learning spells would probably be easier if you know how to hold it." Kayla nodded still embarrassed. "The first one you should try is called 'flame'. Its a simple fire spell, all you gotta do it think of fire while holding the staff" Miss Teapot said as she walked off.
Kayla thought about fire, she closed her eyes. A flame grew forming a perfect circle around her, Kayla could feel the heat, but when she opened her eyes, the flame disappeared. Kayla got a few cheers for forming the fire.
Later that night Miss Teapot, and her 'best friend' Karenina came over for dinner. Miss Teapot explained that once the staff warms up to you, then you can control it better. You gotta think about what you want it to do.
Kayla thought of her step-daughter. She was real creative, always drawing and stuff, she would be able to control the staff easily. Anatak put a plate full of some vegetables in front of Kayla.
Everyone ate while chatting. Kayla was starting to build up a sweat though, perhaps the room was getting hotter. The room started to spin and Kayla fell backwards knocking the chair she was sitting in over. She was out cold.
