Morning classes went by pretty quick. And now the duo was at lunch. Normally they would've sat with their girlfriends. But the girls made it clear they didn't want anything to do with them anymore. So the two sat at a small table. "I can't believe me and Katherine are really over..." Jazanie said as he played with his fingers. "It's alright man. It's time for you to move on." That's all the support Jonathan could give. He was too busy thinking about something else.

Why was I happy when they broke up?? It was because he was in a similar situation as me, right?? Yeah that has to be it! I don't… Do I?

"Hey Johnnie, are you listening to me?" Jazanie tapped his friend, flinging him back to reality. "Oh yeah sorry about that. Just try not to think about it." "How can I not think about it? We're in every class together." Not only that but they also sat near each other. At this point Jonathan decided to stay quiet. It'll be over soon. He gets over these things pretty quick. For now they just needed silence. The tall boy suddenly felt relaxed. He laid down on the bench, staring at the cafeteria ceiling. A loud thunk was heard. Jonathan turned to his right to see Jazanie holding his head under the table. "Pfft!" The best friend's burst out laughing together. "Is it nice laying down here?" Jonathan nodded, "It feels peaceful and quiet." Those were very controversial words considering how loud the room was. They couldn't see it but a fight was happening between a girl and a boy. When it was over, the victor was determined to be the girl and the whole sophomore student body cheered her on.

The two carried on a relaxed conversation as the period continued. To Jonathan, it felt like it was just him and Jazanie in the room. Everything else was quiet. They were the entire world. "Hey you know what would be weird?" The shorter one asked. "What?" "What if Lexi and Katherine were in love with each other and that's why they broke up with us?" Jazanie joked. "If that's the reason then we should date them for revenge." Jonathan said. "If it's you I wouldn't mind. But that would never happen!"

It wouldn't..? Why not? What's wrong with me? What's wrong with us?! I- I... I like my best friend.. I can't deny it anymore.. I like Jazanie.

"Everything okay over there Johnnie? This is the 5th time you zoned out today." Jonathan looked at Jazanie and sat up. He was in shock. He was in love with his best friend. "Oh yeah.. I'm fine!" The boy slapped his hand over his mouth and ran out the cafeteria. His face burned like 1,000 suns.

"That was weird.." Jazanie mumbled. Did I do something wrong? All I did was talk about Katherine… Maybe he's having a hard time because of Lexi. I guess it's up to me to help him get through it!

Soon enough it was time for the grade to go upstairs. There was no way Jonathan could face Jazanie. He was currently hiding out with his friends from chemistry. "What's the matter with you?" A girl named Cameron asked. She and Jonathan were known for doing dumb things together. "I… I don't think I can tell you this." Cameron just shrugged it off and went back to her other conversation.

I don't think I can tell anyone about this. Not my friends or even my Mom! I'll just shut it down. These feelings never existed! At this point Jonathan decided to skip sixth period. He'd be doing it with the same friends as before since their piano teacher was out. All I have to do is avoid Jazanie. It's easy. I can just skip sixth period until I get over this. Yeah! I got this!

Inside their sixth period Global History class, Jazanie was dumbfounded. Where's Johnnie? I know he ran out but he needs to face it. Just like he told me. ...Or maybe I really am the problem. I have to apologize! He's my best friend! And now Jazanie was on a mission. He needed to find out what was going on with his best friend.
