"Johnnie!" Jazanie called out to his friend. School was over and the tall boy was talking to his friends from before. Jonathan immediately ran away at the sound of his best friend's voice. Jazanie was waiting for his friend to run. He had prepared for it all day. The short boy zoomed down the steps, chasing Jonathan like a dog after a tennis ball. The taller one turned back to see him hot on his tail. This completely threw him off and Jonathan ended up tripping over the old fire extinguishers that were collected that day. He tumbled into the grass and rolled down the hill. Surprisingly, Jazanie did the same thing. In the end he landed on top. Jonathan was a blushing mess. His face was bright red and his crush was sitting on top of him. "Sorry for chasing you but we need to talk."

Jazani rolled off his friend and sat next to him. Meanwhile Jonathan was gay panicking. Oh no! I'm fucked! I can't let him see me like this! The tall boy tried to get up but his friend held him down. "C'mon Johnnie. Let's talk."

Talk?! About what?? He doesn't know?! Right?!

"You've been acting weird today. I know we're both getting over break ups but you must be taking it really hard. And you were avoiding me too. I don't know what I did to you but I'm sorry." Jazanie glanced over, taking in the entire scene that was his best friend. Jonathan was staring off as his soft dark brown hair blew in the autumn wind. His long eyelashes stood up at a perfect curl behind his glasses. The sun shined on his face, giving it just the right amount of glow. Jazanie blinked in disbelief. He was seeing legit sparkles while looking at his best friend. Jonathan turned to the boy, who immediately felt his chest warm up. "You didn't do anything wrong. I'm sorry I made you feel that way."

The shorter boy was at a loss for words. Has Johnnie always been this… pretty? "It's fine.. I was the one that just made assumptions." He barely managed to get those words out.

From the top of the hill two people saw the entire thing go down. It was Cameron and her long time friend Mulika. "Yo…" Cameron said. Mulika and her looked at each other and at the same time said: "They're gay!" The two laughed about it and decided to keep it a secret. It wasn't out of the ordinary for the boys in their school to act a little fruity. But Jonathan and Jazanie we're like a whole nother story. They looked like there were actual feelings behind their actions.
