To Jazanie it felt like the day went at light speed. But to Jonathan it felt like it would never come to an end. He still wasn't used to avoiding his friend. It was hard to hide his new feelings. Especially since it's been a few days since he realized the way he felt. It was eighth period. Only a few minutes until 2:53 and then he would have to face Jazanie all over again. "Jonathan, answer the last question for me." The Chem teacher said. It was a simple math problem. "Uhhh…" The tall boy frantically searched his computer tabs for the answer he wrote down. "I got 43." He loudly said. It felt like his voice echoed. It was probably just his anxiety. "That's correct! Good job!" She said and continued the lesson. "The studying must be paying off." His friend Natalie proudly whispered.

In Jazanie's last period class he was mentally preparing to confess. He was confident this morning but now reality was kicking in. Would Jonathan stop being his friend? Or maybe spread rumors about him? This could go really bad. It could even end with Jazanie switching schools. Only after begging his father that is. But none of that mattered. Jazanie swore he'd do it. There was no backing down now.

"Johnnie!" The short boy called. Jonathan was frozen stiff. Movement came back to him when Jazanie slapped his shoulder. He jumped because the boy sounded farther away. "I have to tell you something." Visibly, the boy was unfazed. But inside it was a whole different story. Jazanie's thoughts were all over the place.

This is it! No going back! Wait! What if he runs off again?! What if that happens right after I tell him?! Oh no! He wouldn't actually do that right?! No Johnnie's nice. What was I thinking? The boy I love isn't mean. He listens to what people says and is respectful. He is also a stoner. I got this!

This thought process happened within seconds as Jonathan agreed. He didn't have much of a reason that say no. Other than the one he vowed not to say.

The two boys walked down to the corner in complete silence. Jazanie was determined to get his feelings out. While Jonathan was racking his brain on what it could be. They went a little further. Just so they were out of sight from the school.

"I have to tell you something." Jazanie took a deep breath and it totally threw his friend off. "Uh sure?" Jonathan's thoughts came to a halt as the boy spoke. Whatever it was he would find out soon. "I have a crush," He began. The tall boy felt his heart ache. It was as if billions of needles were stabbing him. "And... it's on you."
