The Gold

"Spa- wait what?!" Kie's face changed. "What's wrong?" Pope said it before I could. "I just got a text saying they're John B and Sarah!" Kie sounded panicked. "Seriously?!" I smiled. "Ask for a picture of them!" Pope grabbed her phone and sent the text asking for a picture of them. They didn't respond, but Kie's phone started ringing. It was a FaceTime call. We all huddled up together and stared at Kie's phone as she hit answer. It really was John B and Sarah! They're alive! I could feel tears running down my face. I looked over at Kie and just saw tears falling down her face. "Don't cry!" Sarah said through the phone and waved. "Oh my god, you guys are alive! How?!" Kie cleared her throat still crying. "We'll tell you guys later, now. The gold is in my basement, go get it and meet us in Nassau in the Bahamas. That's where we are. I left 3 plane tickets by the gold." John B said through the phone and hung up. Kie dropped her phone and started sobbing. We all hugged her and were crying. "They really are alive. Can't kill a pogue man!"

**KIARA'S POV**

I wiped my tears and yelled. "WOO!" We all started laughing. "Let's go!" Pope smiled and we all ran to John B's house. Once we got there we all ran inside. "Where's the basement?" JJ said looking around. "No idea. " Pope replied. I started throwing things around and moving them trying to look for a basement door or staircase. We all started moving things around and looking. I wondered into Big John's research room. I moved around some books on the bookshelf. When I touched a book, I heard a click and the bookshelf started moving open. "Guys?!" I yelled. I saw JJ and Pope run into the room and stare at the staircase and the open bookshelf. "Since when has this been here?! John B never told me. " JJ complained and huffed. "Who cares, let's just go down." Pope replied

I started walking down the staircase. JJ and Pope followed behind me. It was dark, we couldn't see at all. The staircase led to a tunnel. We walked down the dark tunnel slowly, slightly nervous. "Why's it so dark in here?" JJ coughed. "Because there's no lights, duh." Pope replied. "Shh! We don't know what's down here." I said. "I see light down there!" JJ yelled. We started running towards the light. We finally got to the light. It was a room full of books, a desk, and a couch.

"This is nice! Wonder why John B didn't tell us about this." JJ smiled and looked around. Pope walked over and sat on the couch. "This is nice!" Pope said and yawned. "Don't get off topic guys! We're looking for the gold and the tickets." I stared at them. "Okay fine." JJ and Pope said. They started looking around. JJ found a big black, tall bucket that had a lock on it. "Guys! I found something." JJ yelled. Pope and I ran over to JJ and looked at the bucket.

"Dang it. It's locked." Pope said staring at the bucket. JJ took his black bag off his back and put it on the floor. He pulled out a gun and shot the lock on the bucket. The lock broke and fell onto the floor. "Nice JJ!" I said smiling. "Heh." JJ smiled. I opened the tall bucket slowly. All of the gold was there. 400 million. "What?! I thought Ward took this!" Pope said. "How.." I was mesmerized by it. "Who cares how he got it! We got the gold!!" JJ yelled. We all did a group hug. I don't think I've ever smiled this big before. This is the best day I've ever had. "There's the tickets!" Pope smiled and grabbed them from the bucket. He handed me my ticket, JJ's ticket and his. "Uhh wait- These tickets are for tomorrow!" I panicked. "How are we going to get to another country by tomorrow!" I said. "No idea but we should go and start packing." Pope said. JJ grabbed the bucket and rolled it out of the room. Good thing the bucket had wheels and a handle.

Once we got out of the basement, we shut the bookshelf and walked to the front door of John B's house. Before we walked out of John B's house, we saw Rafe and his friend Barry standing outside with guns. "Crap." I mumbled. JJ, Pope and I ran to the back door and ran outside. We could hear a gunshot and something fall. "Shh, we have to wait till they're inside so they don't see us." I whispered. "K." JJ whispered. We had our backs to the wall trying to slowly move to the boat. "I think they're inside. Go!" Pope yelled. We all ran to the boat as fast as we could. We could hear Rafe and Barry slam open the front door. "HEY!" Rafe yelled. JJ tried to look back but fell. I stopped and ran back for him. I grabbed his hand and helped him up.
