As Ro and I headed up the stairs, into my room, I could feel my excitement building up faster and faster. I had the perfect idea to cheer us up.

When we got past Sandor into my room, Ro immediately went over to my bed where the letter was. I could easily see her eyes tear up, "I- I warned him.... Maybe if I-"

I stopped her, "Don't blame yourself." As someone who did blame myself, it was nice comforting Ro about it.

I kept thinking back to what ifs?. What if I managed to actually do something useful during the last battle? What if I were able to convince him not to come? What if I never met him in that hallway the day I burnt my hand? Then none of this would have happened. I still felt guilty about how I practically brought this harsh fate on my friends.

Ro just sat down and smiled to herself, "He really did love you, Blondie."

I smiled to myself, "Yeah, he's one of my best friends. I could always count on him to see my side of things." I truly did love him. I love all my friends.

Ro just looked at me and gave that look that practically read she knew something I didn't. She paced the room to look me in the eyes and ask, "What was the thing you wanted to do?"

I looked at my mirror and gave a sly smirk to her. "I think I need a makeover."

I saw her eyes light up she then gave and excited laugh, "How far do you want to go?"

I looked at myself in the mirror again, basic blonde hair, brown eyes. "I need something fierce, something to show the Neverseen I don't mess around."

Ro beamed, "You came to the right bodyguard for the job."

Before I knew it, Ro whisked me away and sat me in an old chair.

My hair took about an hour ( The entire time I wasn't allowed to see) while my make up that she insisted on took 30 minutes.

While my hair was in a towel, drying, Ro and I painted each other's nails. Ro insisted on coloring my nails red while I chose pink for her to match her hair. I also cleaned up her face and did basic make up to highlight her natural features.

In the end, she looked very pretty. I made a mental note to stop by Bo later.

After our nails dried, Ro sat me in a chair and took my hair out of the towel. Then she styled it.

When she dragged me to a mirror, I could hardly believe what I saw.

My makeup was natural, I had on basic brown eyeshadow and gold eyeliner. I also had on a little mascara and a light red lipstick.

My hair. It was beautiful. It used to be long and stringy, but now it was- gorgeous. It was in princess curls down to my lower back and had bright maroon red streaks in the perfect spots. I looked- I looked amazing.

I heard Ro from behind me, "Dang, Blondie you should really close your mouth."

I turned and hugged her as hard as I could, "thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou!"

Ro smiled, "It was my pleasure Blondie."

That night I went to my desk and began to pick up the thickest journal I could find. After that I took a permanent marker and begin to write:

The Ballad of Bo and Ro

        By: Sophie Foster

         Inspired by: Keefe Sencen

It still hurt even thinking of his name, but there was one thing I knew.

I was going to get stronger.

I was going to defeat the Neverseen.

I was going to save the world.

Hey, who knows. Perhaps I could be a ruler of these lost cities.

Maybe even a Keeper of the Lost Cities.
