Out of all the things that could've been my destination, there is no way I could have prepared for this. I must think of an immediate solution. This small body is a problem, but it may help out in this situation.
There's still some room to lightly shift my body, so it's not impossible to escape. Though the formula of the runes necessary to get out of here may be a bit tricky.
With total concentration, I began to construct the runes of Soak, while adding a bit of twist in the characters to control its viscosity.
I've never really tried to customize the very structure of a spell, but as my training with Lady Shirona went on, I was somehow able to understand the texts and restructure them to my liking. If you're wondering how long I took, it was roughly 2 hours.
In any case, I think it worked, kind of. Since my body is slowly being enveloped by slightly slippery liquid. A bit after, it covered my whole body, which made me slip towards the opening even by a little bit.
Oh, my face can see the outside. But I don't have the leisure to appreciate my surroundings just yet. I forced my body to propel forwards, which was thankfully enough to finally let me touch the grass.
I held my hand to the sky as if I succeeded in a grand trial.
I must say, I probably resembled a rocket in hindsight. I doubt there was anyone here to witness that though.
Anyway...
To think that a mere mailbox could've rendered me to such a pitiful state. Yes, that's right. I was previously stuck inside a metal mailbox, for whatever reason. The teleportation was most likely made to bring me beside the mailbox, not inside it.
The mailbox is pretty big to be able to fit me. It was similar in shape and size to the small boxes transported in delivery services.
Moving on, I'm finally in the outside world. I don't think my appearance is enough to draw the attention of other people. I'm not in a rush anyway, since I have plenty of resources in my ba-
Hold on, where is the backpack prepared by Lady Shirona? The one with a map of the continent? The one with food for a week? The one with...ah crap.
I dragged my wet body upwards and began to search the area. The teleportation didn't seem to be perfect considering my previous predicament, so it's more than plausible that my backpack might've been teleported somewhere else.
It definitely did.
Isn't losing it bad? After all, it all had crucial things. I don't think I can survive the night without proper money either.
Here we go, Death flag no. 1!
To calm myself, I gazed up at the sun and concluded that it's still just about afternoon. Meaning, I have plenty of time to scavenge some money.
With a goal in mind, I set off to find the first nearby town.
This is absurd. I've been walking for about an hour, on the lookout for possible traces of my backpack... Is this forest perhaps endless?
The more I walked, the thicker the trees became; and lesser sunlight shone. It was then, that I truly felt the need to devise a concrete plan as fast as possible.
As I thought this, I could make out what seemed to be a large structure from a distance. I have enhanced eyesight for some reason, so this is no surprise.
I excitingly dashed through the bushes until I could see what the structure was... a church? Oh, God. Pun intended. Anyway, I remember Lady Shirona telling me to stay away from these things, but I have no choice.
