2010 Natasha POV
I walk down the corridor, subtly keeping an eye on Doctor Banner behind me, I secure my glove tightly onto my wrist as we walk through the doors to the meeting room.
"Sir, I have Doctor Banner." I stated, pointing behind me before sitting down and nodding my head to Captain America.
Fury nodded in thanks, "Thank you, Agent Romanoff, you know Mr Stark."
"Oh yeah, she knows me, Agent Romanoff, if that is even your real name." Tony Stark said sarcastically, throwing dried blueberries into his mouth.
"Thank you, Stark, to your left is Thor Odinson, God of Thunder in Asguard. We then have Doctor Bruce Banner, who is-"
"The Hulk, sorry to hear about the mess, man." Stark said, interrupting Fury in his introductions, I roll my eyes and then notice Maria come in with another person.
"Sir, I have the director." Maria stated and gestured to the woman in a red suit, it looked familiar.
"Everyone, this is the director of S.H.E.I.L.D, the Red Widow." Fury said, moving towards the Widow, holding a hand out for a hand shake.
The Red Widow looked at it and glared at Fury, "I wasn't joking when I said I didn't want any bases off land."
"I can't believe the director is the Red Widow." Stark said, getting out of his chair and moving toward her, "Nice to meet you, Tony Stark."
"We've met before Mr Stark." She replied, winking at him. "Also there is another Widow here who has done a lot more than me."
"Ahh, but she's old news, she also lied to me so... consider me your number one fan." Stark stayed, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
I roll my eyes again and move out of my seat and hold my hand out to the Red Widow to shake hands, "It's a pleasure to meet you. You were big talk at the Red Room"
"Thank you, it's nice to see another survivor of that Room." The Widow replied, shaking my hand, eyes twinkling in the light, and I couldn't help but think I've seem them before.
"Is there a chance I could talk to you in private after this?" I ask, moving back, to not over crowd.
She clears her throat, "Of course. After the meeting." She moves back to Fury, "Right, come on one eye, let's gets this meeting started. Good afternoon, Captain, Thor, Banner." She nods to each man before moving to sit in my chair.
"Right, as I was about to say, Loki, Thor's brother, has the tesseract, we need to get it back from him as soon as possible, he has already got his claws into two of our men already." Fury explained, pacing in front of the table as I stood behind the Red Widow.
"Who has he taken, Sir?" I question, standing straighter.
Fury sighed and looked at me and Thor "Agent Barton and Professor Selvig. If we are quick enough we can get them both and the tesseract back in good shape."
"We need to move now, Loki won't waste any time." Thor stated, standing up, grabbing his hammer and moving to the door.
"Agent Hill, you know what to do." Fury said, throwing keys to Maria and turning his back on us. I shake my head at his actions.
"You get better manners from the fucking cat." I hear the Red Widow mutter to herself before getting up and moving with everyone else to follow Maria.
I move quickly to walk beside the Red Widow, hoping to be able to get some answers to anything.
"So, what can I call you?" I question the brunette, who turns to look at me with her eyebrow raised. "Well we are both Widow's, is there something else I can call you?"
I hear a little chuckle, "You can call me Director, Natalia."
I stumble a little at the use of real name, no one has ever made me this stumped before, I clear my throat, to gain composure, "Of course, Director, I just have a question." I watch her carefully as she nods waiting for me to continue, "Do you happen to know a Maya Smirnoff?"
"Um, yes, I do." She answered.
"Do you know where she is?" I asked, stopping in the corridor.
She stops just ahead of me with a sigh, "She was married off -"
"Well that doesn't sound that ba-"
"To Dreykov. She's Dreykov's wife." As soon as she finished she continued to follow the rest of the group, leaving me alone.

I didn't see Natasha for the rest of the time after I told her about the marriage. We got to the compound and a lot happened, including the collapse of the whole compound. We were able to rescue Barton and Professor Selvig, they were contained for bow, still under the influence of the tesseract.
