After 456 teaches me. Its time for the game. We all get sent to a strange room, where there's a single guard in there.
"We are playing Squid games. Whoever survives is the winner."
456 looks at me wide eyed. But me and Sangwoo just glare at each other, while I look at the blood in his face and collar.
"who will play attacker or defence?"
"Well I'm being attacker" I say.
"Same" 456 adds.
The guard nods.
"Which means that Sangwoo is on defence" then they start walking so we follow.
"Im gonna make another promise Sangwoo" he turns to me while we walk.
"What?"
"I promise. That I'm going to kill you. Let's see who breaks the promise then"
"What promise did I make"
I chuckle.
"Damm you really are a dumbass. You promised all of us that we'd all survive if we listened to you on the tug of war. Remember? This is what they get for listening to you"
Then the guard opens the door.
"Guess who also broke their promise?"
We walk out to reveal the same room as red light green light, I look at the doll and remember me saving Kang. I mentally scream but I stay calm. Then I see the squid game carvings on the ground.

We all get into our places until it says go.
"My name is Gi-hun"

Me and Gi-hun immediately start hopping on one foot to the next place. With him being infront of me. We get to the neck of the squid and Sangwoo stands infront of us, holding his knife with a shaky hand.
"We used to play this game when we were kids remember? When we cross. Do you remember what we used to call it?" Gi-hun asks.
"WHO CARES ABOUT THAT?!" Sangwoo yells and tries to attack him, but Gi-hun throws sand in his face. Sangwoo cries, holding his eyes, while Gi-hun takes my hand, which I return. and we walk to the other side.
"Inspector Royal. That's what we called it."
Then I hear some rain drops?
I look up to see rain clouds hovering over us.
I hiccup, eyes filling with tears, but I don't let them out. Gi-hun gently uses his thumb to rub my hand, while we walk to the other circle. Looking at Sangwoo.
" You know she would have died anyway. I put an end. To her suffering and you know it!"
"Bullshit! Stop lying! She could have survived. They could have treated her!! " he yells.
