I am going to turn 25 in seven days’ time. For the 24 years of my life I have never been in any relationship. So during this time I am wondering what it is like to be in a relationship and wished to be in a relationship. But I know that I am a useless person that no one wants to love me. I know I am being negative, everyone tells me, “how can you be so negative.” How can I not? My life is the prove. Bzz bzz. Bzz bzz. Bzz bzz, my phone vibrates. I reach my hand out from under my duvet to grab my phone. I flip it around making the screen face me in a way that it won’t cause the phone to fall on top of my face since right now I am lying on my bed. I have got a message from my friends on Whatsapps’ group chat:

Carlet: Let’s eat out this Saturday!
Cathy: what time?
Carlet: 6
Maple: what is the special occasion?

I hold my smart-phone by pushing it like a sandwich on my palm and used my thumbs to reply to my friends, ‘Hello everyone! Where will we be eating? And is it 6pm?’ after finished typing I stare at my phone to wait for a reply. Bzz bzz. The phone fall straight onto my face. Great! This is great, having a phone smack on my nose and crash my glasses. Anyway, no time for this, I check my phone to see what my friends had replied to me:

Carlet: nah! AM

Cathy: lol! Maple, is Silvers bday soon

Carlet: Silver, obv is PM

Maple: right, then… how about my restaurant, we can hv a VIP rm but u guys need to pay.

Oh! They remembered my birthday! That is amazing, I am over the moon. I thought they forgot since December is the busiest time of the year.

I can’t wait for the day to come.
