The green portal opened and Santa went through it.

"Is that what we look like when we go through it?" I asked.

"Lena, you still sound like you're dying." Teddy said.

"I can't help it! He messed up my voice and I didn't eat breakfast yet!" I said.

We all looked back to where Santa was.

"That really just happened." Teddy said.

"Yup, and I've got it all on..." Kate said while taking out the tape, only for nothing to come out. "Oh, man! He took the tape." She said.

"Did you think he was gonna let us keep it?" Teddy asked her and laughed.

"Guess not, but...what if I forget everything that happened tonight?" She asked us.

"As if we'll let you forget. It'll be a good Christmas tale to tell each other every year." I said while putting an arm on Teddy's shoulder.

"Come on, we won't let you forget anything that happened tonight...Katie Cat." He said.

"Me neither, Teddy Bear and Lena Lu." She said while slinging the camera over her shoulder.

"It's been a while." I said and took my arm off his shoulder.

Teddy chuckled softly. "Hug it out?" He asked us both while putting both his arms out.

"Yeah." Kate and I said.

He came forward and we all hugged each other. I heard a car drive up but chose to ignore it since it could be a neighbor.

We let go and looked at the car. It was Mrs. Pierce that drove up.

"Were you three just...hugging?" She asked while getting out of the car.

"Yeah." The three of us said.

Mrs. Pierce chuckled and started walking up to us.

"Achoo!" I sneezed into my elbow again.

"What are you guys doing out here?" She smiled.

We stood quiet for a second. "Waiting for you." Kate said.

"Oh!" She said. "What's that?" She asked Teddy who was holding Santa's hat.

"It was a gift from a friend." He told her.

"Why do you have a Chicago police cap?" She asked, turning to me.

"We were walking towards the plaza at night and my friend gave me it from her dad." I said and smiled.

"Hmm. Merry Christmas, guys!" She said and went in for a hug with all of us.

"Merry Christmas." We told her while hugging her.

"We should go inside. It's freezing out here." She shivered and we let go. I ran ahead of all of them, hurried to get my coat off, and jumped onto the couch. I put my hat on my chest and admired all the decorations.

"So, how was your night? And why did Lena run inside?" She asked them.

"You'll never believe it, I think it was because she's a little cold." Teddy said while taking off his coat.

"Yeah?"

"Good," Kate said.

"Well, what did you guys do all ni-" She said before she stopped and looked at all the decorations too. "Oh my God!" She whispered. "This is exactly the way Dad used to...I..." She couldn't continue speaking and stared at the tree, which was filled with ornaments and lights.
