My first and Lastㅡ in this game called love, the first one to fall loses. NCT's Jaemin returns from hiatus only to find out that a girl, which happened to be Mark Lee's sister is living with them.
My first and Last 2- they say that trust is easier to break, but harder to fix. now, with certain someone's in their way, can haejin and jaemin continue their story?
Q1.How did you come up with the title for your book?
A1.I was actually listening to NCT Dream's "My First and Last" during that time when I suddenly thought of Jaemin's line in the book, "You will always be my first and last." For the second book, I originally wanted the title to be "For Eternity," but changed it to "My First and Last 2" so that the readers won't get confused. As for the side stories, "Rewritten," (Mark's side story) it came out randomly as I was writing some possible titles, and then suddenly thought, "Hey, this isn't bad?" On the other hand, I originally intended for "Him & Her" (Jisung's side story) to have two chapters showing the protagonists' points of view, that's why I decided to use "Him and Her."(PS: I mean- Wow....)😌😮
Q2.What part of the book was the most fun to write?
A2. I had fun writing everything! But if I were to choose, it would probably be the retreat arc in "My First and Last 2," and of course, the final chapter from the first book.(PS: I honestly had fun reading it!)😄
Q3. Which of the characters do you relate to the most and why?
A3. I most definitely relate to Lee Haejin, the main protagonist. Although I'm not a trainee nor an idol like her, I can say that we are pretty similar in terms of mindset. Some of her traits actually came from me, just a bit exaggerated ('∀｀•) (So I'm sorry in advance if you find her annoying! HAHAHAHA) (PS: Honestly according to me no one is annoying...everyone has their nature and personality...it's just that some traits are not compatible with each other)
Q4.What is a significant way your book has changed since the first draft?
A4.Originally, all of the books in the series were supposed to be a mafia/gang au. However, since those were my first books, I decided to change them into something light, and something that readers can somehow relate to.( PS: that was interesting to know...well now i am imagining the story in mafia theme LOL)😂
Q5.How would you describe your book's ideal reader?
A5. My books are open for everyone who wants to feel loved. More importantly, they are reserved for my fellow readers or writers who dream with their eyes wide open.
Q6.How long did it take you to write this book?
A6.I wrote the first book of "My First and Last" for a little over two months. The second book me a little over two months as well. As for the side stories, "Rewritten," took me a month, and "Him & Her" took me a day.(PS: what the hell...you are a superhuman)🤣
Q7.If you could meet your characters, what would you say to them?
A7."You made it, and I'm proud of where you are now. Thank you for inspiring others, and thank you for never giving up."
Q8.If you could spend a day with another popular author, whom would you choose?
A8.I would pick chogiwanese! I have always loved their books, and I could still remember how I would always cry and laugh because of them.
Q9.How do you process and deal with negative book reviews?
A9. Honestly, I would be lying if I say that I don't feel offended, but I always try to look at it in a better way and think of it as criticism, rather than hate or a negative review. Plus, these comments are essential for me to grow as a writer and as a reader as well.(PS : that's the spirit bestie!!)❤
Q10.What advice would you give to a writer working on their first book?
A10. Keep on writing, and never give up. If you think that what you're writing right now is complete trash, remember that there will always be people who will think otherwise.
