I held you in my arms for the first time in what felt like ages, you had been gone and just gotten home. I missed you so much but I couldn't help but feel like a place-holder in the life you were already living. You broke me but I couldn't do anything but love you for the rest of my life. You're a selfish bastard but I couldn't give you up. Maybe I'm just as selfish as you.
You were mine and I couldn't stand seeing you with him. And yet I supported you through your whole relationship with him, hoping that one day you'd wake up and choose me.

.Izuku wasn't the type to easily get jealous but seeing Katsuki happy with someone else pained him to a point of no return. He loved Katsuki more than life itself and seeing Katsuki with Eijiro practically killed him.
It hadn't been long after graduation when Eijiro and the blonde had gotten together and right after that, it had seemed Kat had forgotten all about Izuku. The part that stung the most was when Katsuki and Eijiro opened their own hero agency together- the thing Katsuki promised to do with Izuku.
After a long night of drinking, Izuku gathered the courage to (drunkenly) call Katsuki's line. It hadn't even finished the first ring before Izuku heard the familiar "Deku" from his childhood friend, Izuku perked his head up happily before he realised who he was talking to.
A long string of slurred apologies later, Katsuki tells Izuku to stay where he was, “I’m on my way to get you, don’t move.” ‘Kacchan’ hung up, leaving the curly-haired boy by himself again.
Not even ten minutes later Kat was at the bar, it was one he and Kirishima would frequent after long nights of patrol. Sitting in the corner of the bar with his head in his arms was a drunken Midoriya. Katsuki sighed loudly as he asked for a glass of water from the bar tender, he knew the bar tender well enough that she gave the drink on the house.
"C'mon Deku, lets sober you up a bit," He huffed, wrapping Izuku's arm around his neck, pulling the smaller drunkard away from the table. Izuku slurred more apologies than when the two were on the phone and all Katsuki could think about was how long it had been since the two had seen each other off work hours.
The bar tender handed the glass of water to Izuku, who took his sweet time to drink it. Izuku had a deep red covering his cheeks, it made Katsuki notice his freckles, there were a lot more than he had had before… had it really been that long since they last spoke?
Once the glass of water was finished Katsuki dragged Izuku to his car, putting him in the back seat so he could lie down, "You're" hiccup, "a good friend, Kacchan," hiccup, "Eijiro's lucky to have you," Izuku hummed out but Katsuki heard nothing over the wind hitting his ears as he drove down the road rather speedily. He couldn't take Izuku to his house, Eiji would flip and he couldn't take Izuku home because he didn't know where Izuku lived.
Calling Inko was also out the question because he didn't want to upset her or wake her up. A hotel seemed to be the only plausible idea for him. He soon enough pulled into the parking lot of a rather dingy looking hotel. Telling Izuku to not move again he went in and booked a room for Izuku, paying in advance for the room. He texted Eijiro that he wasn't going to be home that night because he had to 'take care of a friend who was ill' and pulled Izuku out the car, carrying him to the room on his back.
Katsuki dropped Izuku onto one of the beds in the room, turning away and putting the kettle in the corner of the room on, the place looked dingy on the outside but the room itself seemed well kept, the room was clean, the cups and cuttlery they kept all seemed good and the bathroom did too. The kettle came to a boil and stopped, Katsuki poured the water into a cup with instant coffee and made Izuku drink it.
Once Izuku wasn't completely shitfaced, he mumbled under his breath about how he shouldn't have called Katsuki in the first place and this was a bad idea, "Kirishima is probably waiting at home for you, you should go.." He whispered, covering his face with his hands to hide away from Kacchan. When Katsuki'd refused to leave Izuku just said he was going to bed, having a hangover was going to be horrible- especially because whenever he got them he felt like dying.
The green-haired boy laid down on the single bed curled up against the wall, he wanted to be far away from Katsuki so he didn't do anything stupid that he'd most definitely regret when he was sober… "K..Kacchan?" He mumbled gently, the blonde raised his head, his eyebrow raising along with it.
"Can you cuddle me…" he whispered, Izuku hated asking for things and asking to be held by the boy who keeps breaking his heart over and over again was something he definitely didn't think he'd do.
Kat just huffed, getting off his own bed and walking over to Izuku's, wrapping his arms tightly around him. Izuku was immediately comfortable, Katsuki's soft breath radiated on the back of Izuku's neck and Katsuki's scent made Izuku feel… at home.
The next morning hit Izuku like a truck, the first crack of dawn had Izuku awake and brain pounding against his skull feeling like it was splitting apart in sheer anger.
His movements were also being restrained and every time he tried to get up a familar blonde would hold him down, "K… Kacchan… We have work…" He mumbled, struggling to get out Katsuki's hold once again, eventually he managed to pry away from him.
It was only around five in the morning, Izuku softly shook Katsuki awake, "Eji… its too early to be awake," Kats mumbled, a tinge of pain struck right into Izuku's heart, thats right, last night was just Katsuki Bakugo consoling an old friend while he was drunk, it meant nothing more and it will mean absolutely nothing to Katsuki.
____Izuku____
Kacchan sat up and slowly rubbed his eyes, mumbling incoherently about how last night was the first night in weeks he had slept properly. He looked at me like I had killed someone when he realised I wasn't his Eijiro and it was just… me. I gave a meek wave and Kacchans nostrils flaired, "Don't tell Eijiro we spent the night together, he thinks I was looking after a sick friend." He mumbled as he put a pair of shoes on.
It wasn't even like we did anything, I doubt Kirishima cared that he was with me, Kirishima trusted Kacchan more than anything in this world, right.

Just like that you slipped away, leaving me with nothing but the scent of you and the memories from when we were young. You were my everything but to you I was nothing more than a sick friend who needed help.
