Third

It was late in the night when Eijiro and Katsuki decided to go to bed, the two of them were sitting in bed with Eijiro in Katsuki’s arms while he slowly dozed off. Katsuki couldn’t shake last night off, it didn’t help that whatever Izuku did with him was still felt in his legs and back. When Eiji had noted he was walking with a small limp in the morning Kats brushed it off and said it was because he had fallen down the stairs in Izuku’s place the night before. Which was probably partially true. “Goodnight Ei,” Kats whispered as he turned the lights off on his side of the bed, drifting off to sleep leaving him and his thoughts alone.

’Are you sure you want this’ were the words echoing in Izuku’s head the day after the endeavour had gone down. He felt absolutely awful. He should have said no to Katsuki, gotten him some water and sent him to bed instead he did that. Izuku was hoping Katsuki wouldn’t mention anything to Eijiro and by the way that Eijiro hadn’t texted or called to curse him out, he assumed Katsuki either forgot or didn’t want to tell Eijiro either. 

Izuku had wondered if he and Katsuki should contact each other for a while and decided that it was probably for the best if he didn’t text first. Maybe Katsuki felt just as awful about it as he did and needed space as well. Though, he couldn’t shake the want for it to become a regular occurrence- not the whole getting Katsuki drunk thing but the Katsuki seeing Izuku in a more than just friend way- even if he was a secret to be kept from Kirishima. 

It wasn’t until later in the day when it actually came up again. The three of them were in the same sector when a fight broke out between civilians with pretty powerful quirks but Izuku had somehow managed to neutralise them pretty quickly, much to Kirishima's appreciation. "Lemme buy you lunch dude, we barely talk anymore," Kirishima whined as Izuku walked next to him, Katsuki had been trailing slowly behind which was rare because normally he'd be up ahead looking for trouble.

After ten minutes of whining Izuku finally caved, letting a groan out as Kirishima pulled the three of them to a small cafe where pros usually hung out. The three heroes had lunch and afterwards Izuku was sent back to his agency, unable to shake his guilt from watching Katsuki and Eijiro act so natually together.
