Where I began (My Pokemon Journey)

~Thanking the Professor~

  As Guu left the house they took a deep breath and looked around. Pidove were flying about and the leaves were falling. This was the kind of scenery that Guu loved. "Osha!" Guu looked down to Oshawott to see an amazed look on his face. "What's up buddy? Never seen leaves before?" Guu questioned. "Osha! Osha!" the little creature replied. "I'll take that as a yes." they picked up a leaf from the ground a handed it to Oshawott. 

  He had a joyful smile and held the leaf in his hands as they went on. Guu had decided to go check on Bianca before they went to meet up when Cheren at the lab. As they reached Bianca's house and reached for the door knob they heard a voice from inside. "No, no, a thousand times no!" Came a voice from inside. They didn't want to intrude, but once again they're curiosity got the best of them and they opened the door. "But, I'm. . .I'm a good trainer who got a Pokémon and everything! I can totally go on an adventure!" They heard Bianca say. As Guu was about to go inside Bianca came walking out and ran into them. 

  "Oh. . .It's ok. It's fine! I'll be waiting for you in front of the lab okay?" Bianca tried to reassure and get out of the situation as quickly as possible. "Bianca. . ." Before they could finish Bianca walked past and started on her way to the lab. Guu followed not to far behind her, Oshawott still in they're arms. They got to the lab and saw Cheren and Bianca waiting for them. Trying they're best to forget what they walked in on Guu waved at them and walked over. "Ok! Let's go meet the professor." Cheren said. He pulled the door handle and held the door open for the other two as they walked inside. 

  When they entered they saw a women standing there waiting for them. "Hi there! I've been waiting for you young people!" She said cheerfully walking towards them. "Let me introduce myself again. My name is. . ." "Professor Juniper? We know your name." Cheren pointed out with a snicker. Bianca and Guu laughed as well. "Come, come, Cheren! This is not a time to take things lightly. Today is a day to remember always, so it's best to behave with some formality." She started. "That being so, once again, my name is Professor Juniper, and I am researching when and how creatures called Pokémon came into existence." She stated as she pet Oshawott on the head. She looked around at the three and noticed that they all looked knocked up. Putting the pieces together she spoke, "Oh, that's unusual! You've already had a Pokémon battle!" She exclaimed. 

  "So maybe that's why. . .it feels as though your Pokémon have already begun to trust you!" She told them. Guu let out a small gasp. "They do?" They looked down at Oshawott to see him nod. "By the way, would you like to give your Pokémon nicknames?" Professor Juniper asked the three. "A nickname? Hm," Guu stood there looking down at Oshawott, think of what a possible name for him could be. When suddenly, it hit them. "Squirt." They said. "Uh-huh, I see. Are you sure your okay with the name Squirt?" The professor asked. 

  "Absolutely." Guu replied. "That is such a great name! What about you two? Care to name your Pokémon?" the professor asked the other two. They looked at each other then back at her. "I think we both agree that they should stay with the names they were given." Cheren said, to which Bianca nodded. "Very well then." Professor Juniper said with a nod. "Now as for why I gave all of you Pokémon. . ." "It's for the Pokedex, right?" Cheren interrupted once again. "Pokedex?" Bianca questioned. 

  "I am astonished. Nice work, Cheren! You have already studied Pokémon extensively, haven't you?" Professor Juniper asked as she clapped for him. "Still, let me explain everything from the beginning, for everyone's sake. The Pokedex is a high-tech device that automatically records the Pokémon you encounter! So, I want you three to visit many places and meet all of the Pokémon in the Unova region! This is my request. Guu! Cheren! Bianca!" She exclaimed pointing to the three, who had stiffened up as she said their names. "You'll go on an adventure to complete the Pokedex, will you not?" She asked. "Yes ma'am! I'll do my best I promise!" Guu cheered excitedly giving the professor a solute. "Ok! I mean. . . Yes, professor!" Bianca said, trying to be as extravagant as Guu had. "Thank you very much. Because of you, I can become a Pokémon Trainer, exactly as I've always wished. " Cheren said, looking down to his feet with a smile. "All of you, thanks! You have given me the best possible answer!" Professor Juniper cheered. 

  She stood in front of the three and gave them all a device Guu assumed to be a Pokedex. "Next, I need to teach you how to meet Pokémon." She told them. "Please meet me at Route 1, ok?" She told them as she walked out the door. "S-since the professor asked us, it's ok to go on an adventure, right? I can explore and maybe find out what I want to do in life. I think I'd like that." Bianca said looking over at the other two. "Of course." Cheren said looking back up. "We can travel however we want while we complete the Pokedex." He smiled. "Ah! I'm so excited!" Guu shouted as they ran out the door before the other too could even get a word in.

  "Oshaaaaaaaaaa!" Squirt yelled, the wind blowing hard in the face. "Oh! Sorry Squirt! I'll just walk the rest of the way." Guu chuckled. As soon as they walked out the door though, they were stopped by someone. "Come on! Guu, wait up!" Bianca yelled from behind them. They're in front of them was Guu's mother. "Oh, there you are! And. . .? What did the professor have to say?" They're mother asked. "Well uh, she asked us to go out on an adventure to complete the Pokedex." Guu told they're mother. 

  "She asked you to complete the Pokedex?! I can't believe it!" Guu's mother shouted. "Well, actually, I can. I already knew she was going to ask." She laughed. "That's why I brought you three of these town maps, Take them with you!" She said with a smile. She handed the three large folder looking things that held a rolled up map inside each of them. "I'll take good care of it." Cheren said thanking her. "T-thank you so much!" Bianca said, clutching onto the folder. "As for your room, Guu-- or what's left of it. . ." Guu's mother started. 

  They laughed nervously, afraid of what they're mother was going to say. "No need for any of you to worry. I'll take care of tidying up. Ok, Guu?" She told her child. "Uh, y-yes mama. Thank you!" Guu said, once again surprised by they're mother. "Ah, Pokemon. They are so cute, but they have enough power to destroy a bedroom! They are really something." She laughed. "With Pokemon like that at your side, you'll be safe wherever you go! I'll let your parents know! I hope that, in addition to Pokemon, you'll find lots of places you like in the Unova region-- and become wonderful adults!" She said. She walked up to Guu and hugged them, "Have a great trip!" She told them. With that she backed up, waved goodbye and walked away. 

  "If I use the town map, I'll always know where I am. . .That's certainly helpful." Cheren said, seemingly to himself. Guu smiled at they're friends, happy to see them happy. "Shall we head to Route 1? The professor's waiting." Cheren asked. "Let's go, let's go!" Bianca cheered as she ran towards Route 1 with Cheren. "Guu, hurry and come on too, ok?" She said looking back for a split second, then continuing to run after Cheren. "Coming! Let's go Squirt!" "Osha!" With that they walked to Route on to meet Professor Juniper.
