Ch. 2

3rd pov

(y/n) was finished with the job and is currently reading the astrology book.

And without even noticing it, (y/n) was already learning a lot and was half through the book.

Then someone knocked on the door.

"come in" (y/n) said still focused on writing notes.

(y/n) heard the door open then close

"how's the book so far (y/n)-ya?" law asked before hearing him walk beside her desk.

"I just found out the precise meaning of astronomy"

"what is it?" law asks, he placed a hand on the desk and leaned against it.

"astronomy is the study of everything in the universe beyond earth's atmosphere. That includes objects a human can see with heir naked eyes like the sun, the moon, some particular planets and the stars. It also includes objects we can only see with telescopes or other instruments, like far away galaxies, asteroids, and tiny particles of gas." (y/n) explained as law nodded.

"say, what do you gain with these knowledge (y/n)-ya?" law asks.

"skill"

"skill?"

"I may or may not have mentioned, but I ate a phantom fruit... It also gave me the opportunity to learn a skill... More or less, whatever new information or stuff I learn or just as small as understand, I receive a skill.. According to what I just studied" (y/n) shrugs

"no wonder you're so smart... Does it really help in a way in battle?"

"it does, but I don't use it much because it drains most of my stamina" (y/n) giggled softly.

Law hums before nodding

"keep studying till your heart's content..." law said before ruffling her hair and left her room.

(y/n) shrugged before continuing it.

Later...

Someone knocked on the door

"come in..." (y/n) sighs softly, still focused on the subject at hand.

"(y/n)-ya, wow... You're still focused on that book" law chuckled after he closes the door behind Him.

"huh? Oh hey sir, yes I am still focused, the stars are amazing and beautiful, and now I know there are galaxies out there full of them! I can't stop now! Imagine if there are other planets out there, too! And if they have a scientific explanation" she laughs.

Law smiles before patting her head.

"come on, it's dinner... Let's go and eat" law said before putting a hand over hers.

"hmm? Oh, I didn't notice the time" (y/n) laughed as law smiled even more.

Law gripped her hand lightly before nodding.

"okay, let's go captain!" (y/n) exclaimed happily.

"yes, let's go."

Later on...

Everyone yawned as (y/n) was left to wash the dishes and clean the gallery.

(y/n) was currently drying the plates when she heard someone approaching the kitchen area of the gallery.

"(y/n)-ya, how are you still awake? You did so many work today" law said, leaning against the door frame.

"hmm? I'm not tired, I'm not even exhausted" (y/n) breathes a laugh.

"need help with that?"

"no need captain, shouldn't you go to sleep? You're the one who lacks sleep here" (y/n) teases before putting a plate in.

"I can't sleep... I was wondering if you could... Come and.. Sing me a song...?" law asked.

Law knew (y/n) knows how to sing, she sang for him a few times in the past, but, she didn't expect him to ask her this time

"hmm? Sure... Let me finish cleaning up" (y/n) nods as law had smirked but then smiled softly.

"okay, I can wait..." law nods making (y/n) chuckle softly.

Later...

(y/n) grabbed the guitar law bought her secretly and sat down on his bed.

"what do you want me to play sir?" (y/n) asked, clearly by the tone of the voice that she's teasing him.

"whatever it is to make me sleep, your voice makes me sleepy."

"is that your way of saying I'm boring?"

"no.. No.." law laughed "it just mean your voice is very relaxing to hear..." law gazed at her as she hummed suspiciously.

"alright then..."

Next day....

(y/n) sighs opening her eyes, she couldn't sleep last night... And yet again another cycle in this morning.

(y/n) fell and always want to be on routine

So she does what she always does.

And went ahead with the rest of the day,

Same routine.

Same everything.

Eat, work, study, sleep....?

(y/n) just always want to be in this endless cycle forever. (y/n) doesn't like change, no one does....

Do they?

(y/n) shrugs her shoulders before yawning lightly.

(y/n) felt prescience behind her and was ready to end their life.

"it's law. (y/n)-ya, don't even try to behead me" law spoke in a deep voice

"sorry, my bad" (y/n) said coldly.

"what...?"

"what?" (y/n) turned to him

"anyways, (y/n)-ya... Have you seen Avery-ya anywhere?"

"as far as I'm concerned, I thinks she's out there being a slut..." (y/n) hums to herself.

"what..?"

"oh, I'm sorry... I'm a bit out of it today,"

"that explains it" law nods.

"what do you mean?"

"you've been lingering in and around the engine room, in which as far as I know, you have no business in" law mentioned

"oh, yeah... I actually got lost" (y/n) laughs.

"you've been here for two years and a half, and you're still getting lost?"

"absolutely, the castle dadza owned, I've been there all my life but I always gets lost" (y/n) shrugs.

"who's this... 'dadza' you mention?"

"he's... The father of those who don't have a father or has a father but doesn't support them for whatever reason."

"so like acts as a dad to them?"

"yup."

"he has a castle?"

"yes! He built it himself"

"that's impressive.." law hums.

"yes, he is rather impressive... Considering he's willing to die for someone he barely knows... He's quite a legend" (y/n) hums

Later...

(y/n) was back in her room reading a book.

'with this... I'll be able to do it... I'll get them.. No, I'll SAVE them'
