After the Hiro incident, everything else concerning the play moved forward swiftly.

The acting and vocal lessons proved useful since everyone quickly moved onto rehearsing the actual lines for the play.

Slowly but surely, the play was coming all together.

Even better, Hiro was fixing his complex about his identity by focusing on his needs first before everyone else.

It wouldn't be too long now before he would be able to abandon his selfless identity.

As of the current moment, life was going quite swell for Takei.

If "swell" could be defined as being yelled at by his seniors, at least.

"There you are, my Juliet. Wow, you look really cute..."

"That's not even a line!"

Everytime Takei would start acting in a scene with Akari, he would incidentally fall into a trance where sweet nothings would be muttered.

Akari was happy to hear Takei flirt with her, but their seniors were less than thrilled to see this public display of affection.

Some of the seniors were looking the other way in order to avoid the sugar apocalypse in front of them, but the brave ones held steadfast and rebuked the idiot couple for being too lax.

"Hey hey, junior Takei Tanaka of mine. Guess what?"

"What?"

"You're getting extra vocal lessons after school now because your flirting is pissing me off! Think about all the single men here- think about the play that's going to premiere soon!"

"Urgh..."

Ignoring his senior's obvious annoyance towards their flirting, Takei didn't want to go to the extra lessons that were set aside from him after school.

Those "extra lessons" usually turned out to be a hellish routine that would stretch your vocal cords to the very limit.

Takei was about to get down on his knees and beg not to go, but the look on his senior's face shut him down immediately.

Oh great goddess, please save this poor soul.

A lone boy staggered out of a large room with a ghastly pale expression on his face.

There were bags under his already-existing eye bags which only further emphasized his exhaustion.

His disheveled black hair made him look like someone who had woken up on the wrong side of the bed.

In summary, the boy was nothing more than a husk that was mindlessly making its way home.

Taking notice of the zombie that was drudging its legs, Akari worriedly reached out to him.

"Are you okay, Takei? Was it that bad?"

Akari had waited for him outside of the auditorium until his extra lessons would be done, but she was greeted with a lifeless zombie as a result.

"It was okay..."

Takei replied in a coarse manner of speaking due to his extreme fatigue.

Akari leaned on Takei to help him stand straight and made sure he was able to maneuver down the stairs safely.

"Thank you..."

Giving it his all to eek out a whisper of gratitude, Takei showed Akari a rare smile that only she was able to see.

Seeing Takei's kindness reach out to her even though he was extremely tired made Akari a very happy girlfriend.

"Let's go home, I'll cook you some nice food and then you can take a nap."

"Mm... okay," Takei quietly whispered.

They quickly left the school and embarked on a journey back to Takei's home, only to find out that there was already a hot meal being cooked for them.

Wearing her cute frilly pink apron, Airi was cooking a nutritious meal for them in the kitchen.

"Ah, welcome home. The food's almost done so please sit down."

Doing as instructed, Takei and Akari sat down next to each other at the dining table.

As she began to finish up the last part of the cooking, Airi explained why she was doing this for them.

"Seeing you guys work so hard for that play made me want to work hard too. I like hard workers, so please enjoy this food that I gave my best to make!"

Setting down the plates at the table revealed that there was an assortment of healthy yet filling foods.

There was a good balance of high protein, low fat food that was properly seasoned in order for it to be tasty yet nutritious at the same time.

White chicken breast with rice, asparagus, carrots, green peas, and many other vegetables made this a completely spectacular dinner.

Even Akari, who was the world's greatest cook, was surprised to see the attention to detail for every step in the cooking process.

"Thank you, Airi. I'll make sure that Takei and I eat every single crumb of this dinner you made for us!"

"Yahoo~"

Akari thanked her for the effort that she put in, which earned a cute reply from Airi.

"You're the best little sister anyone could ask for."

Putting aside the haze that was slowly encroaching over his mind, Takei genuinely thanked Airi for her benevolence.

Hearing her brother praise her incidentally made Airi blush since it wasn't often that Takei praised her that wholeheartedly.

Coughing to hide her embarrassment, Airi eyed the food in an attempt to change the conversation.

"Let's eat!"

With that motion, everyone gave their thanks for the food and began to dig in.

Takei reached for the chicken and asparagus first since they were his favorites and placed them neatly onto his plate.

He then picked up a good balance of both and placed it into his mouth.

The juiciness of the chicken was readily apparent even though the outside was beautifully cooked to perfection.

In conjunction with that, the asparagus placed a nice contrast between the juiciness of the chicken with the crunchiness of the asparagus stalks.

"This is perfection..."

"Agreed."

In response to Akari's thoughts leaking out, Takei could only agree with her response.

"It's really that good?"

""YES!""

Airi thought her food was only mediocre, but Takei and Akari quickly shut her down.

Leaning in to whisper in Takei's ear, Akari revealed her plan for the future.

"If she's unmarried in the future, let's have her work as an in-house maid!"

"Yep, that sounds perfect. I'll start drawing out the contract once we get older."

Airi was too far away to hear Takei and Akari's whisper, so she quizzically tilted her head to the side.

Unbeknownst to her, the idiot couple was already planning out her future to ensure that there would always be good food made at the Tanaka household.
