Which usually leads to some sort of trouble. Though they are expected to keep their word. They still have a choice.
Those of Fae lineage have no such choice, they say what they mean and they usually mean what they say. Any promise, wish, or contract is heard by natures magic and will be held and kept. Fairy's cannot lie, but they can withhold the truth and twist it to fit their needs.

Before Mal had left I believe Maleficent has been working on her 7th child( possibly with Loki as she had been seen with him for sometime now), she did have a particular glow about her Mal thought to herself as she subconsciously followed Ben across the grounds as he finally gave the damn tour.
