*flash forward*

Flaca and Maritza laid in the middle of a field, a red and black checked blanket under them. Both laying on their backs, Flaca smiling widely waving her hands in the air and Maritza rolling her eyes annoyingly

"Mama forget it. We are not naming our daughter Jenna, I don't like it"

"Okay, but why?!"

Flaca asks

"because- it's too- white. I don't have anything against it but our child will carry a piece of their heritage with their name"

Maritza calmly explains

"Let's see if we manage to get pregnant first okay? Then we'll argue all you want, but it ain't gonna be a jenna OR a Kyle. That's too basic. We're not basic. We're bad bitches"

Maritza continues trying to stay upbeat, Flaca turns to her side letting her hand fall over Maritza's and leaves a small kiss on the girl's shoulder

"we will. We'll try for as long as it takes, I promise"
She assures her receiving a small smile and a shy nod from her partner, they stay like this for a few minutes until Flaca builds up the courage to speak up

"I think it's time for your gift"
She announces flatly, Maritza lets out a small scoff and watches the girl open the backdoor of the car and come back with a medium sized bag

"Your gift is waiting at home. I think you're gonna love it"

Maritza says tilting her head as she looked up to her girlfriend

"I'm sure I will"

"Okay you can't get mad at me though"

Flaca whines as she sat down again rolling her eyes seeing Maritza's concerned look

"No stop, it was expensive I'm not gonna lie but I've been thinking about it since we went to that museum - remember? First year anniversary?"

Flaca says defensively

"How expensive?"

Maritza says getting on her knees, she knew they were financially stable, but they did have a gifted daughter to provide for, they were planning on marrying and on getting pregnant

"Really expensive. But i saved it all up personally so like it's my money i- just hush okay it was a must get"

Flaca says then looked nervously in the bag

"Close your eyes- wait no- uhm how do I do this"

She says talking to herself scratching her neck nervously

"Here just-"
She says before passing a piece of paper to Maritza, she waits in silence for a few second allowing Maritza to read what was on the paper

"Before you tell me that you didn't have to, I really love you, and I genuinely don't see my life without you. Not now not in 60 years, and I know that you feel the same about me, at least now we can look up to the sky and see each other, maybe you'll see it as a waste of money right now but in the far far far future, you won't, at least I won't"

Flaca says vision becoming blurry, she hated the idea of growing old and losing the love of her life,  the woman standing in front of her made her want to live forever

"You bought me a fucking star?"

Maritza says still looking at the certificate in disbelief

"I- maybe?"

Flaca says sniffing, Maritza locks eyes with her and opens her arms inviting Flaca for a hug, the younger Latina lets out a shaky breath and falls onto the other girl
