The large group walked on, stepping from the library to the open garden. Stairs led down to a large stone yard, orange daisies and other flowers scattered its edges. In the middle sat a fountain, hosting light that filtered from the moon.

Dominick stepped out, his eyes immediately going to the sky, seeing the heavy rain had ended. Slight clouds stained the edges of the endless sky like a painting.

Ruby followed Dominick's gaze, watching the sky with him. She looked over, her grin slowly formed a smile as she realized how close they were to getting out of there. She looked to Dominick and punched his shoulder lightly, "Good job, Dominick, we couldn't have done it without you."

Dominick stumbled to the side, laughing as he held up the potion. He spun it around lightly as he held it up to the sky. He stepped down the stairs and grinned at Ruby. "Thanks." He paused, his smile dropping, turning to a flower bush. He reached his hand out and plucked one of the most colorful sunset Daisies that lined the walls of the garden.

He presented the flower to her and spoke, "Truly, Thank you, but..." As she reached for it, he pulled his hand away, meeting her gaze. He closed his hand around the flower. He stood there for a moment, his back straightening out.

Easton and Nova had just arrived, moving past a few of the others. Easton's shoulders tensed up, sudden fear hitting him. Nova looked at Easton, about to snark at the boy before following his eyes to see the flower, looking between Dominick and Ruby.

The silence that followed was uncomfortable, leaving everyone frozen as they watched Dominick and Ruby. As he opened his hand again, The flower had solidified. It's orange color had faded slightly and she could see his hand through the flower.

The flower had faded into glass.

Ruby's smile slowly faded as Dominick handed her the flower and potion. She didn't understand, opening her mouth slightly. "Dominic-" Her eyes widened as her eyes left the flower, trying to meet his almost purple eyes. He looked away from her face, almost bowing his head.

Dominick backed up, off the stairs. His head raised to face everyone, His sovereign expression fading before a too familiar smile replaced it.

His arms outstretched as he whispered one last sentence, "Let the show begin." His body began to melt, falling off itself like sand.

His face turned skywards, his mouth opening as the once Dominick Evangelistes, Commander and Prince of the kingdom of TimberStar, shifted into the very monster he had spoken of hunting.

As sand fell to the floor, it turned to glass. It ran like water, moving up into another form.

Dimentio stood in Dominick's place, His hands extended to his sides. As he looked at them, glass shards formed at the tips of his fingers.
