82. Why didn't I pick a more colourful life?

Lillie woke up and saw that she was in a bed in a room which wasn't hers. She look around it had dark red walls like red wine or blood. She knew  who it belonged to. It was Guy's room.
She took a shower and did her hair and makeup. She was wearing some dark clothing which they call "mourning clothes" to mourn for the dead of their love ones,families and friends.
She walk out and saw her mother laying in a wooden case. She was surrounded with flowers around it,wearing a red dress like Lillie wore at her "wedding" but much more fancier. She had heavy makeup on and her crown. Lillie cried and hold her hand.
"I've never seen you with heavy makeup on for a long time. The last time I saw it was when you were ruling the kingdom and when you and were celebrating my birthdays...you look beautiful mom" she let go of her hand and Headmaster was behind her.
"We will start the memorial now Lillie..your officially married to Guy and thank you for wearing her mourning clothing" he said and put the wooden cover on to close it. He was starting to say a speech.
The princes,Valvets,guards and students were there to honour and remember it. Then the guards started to bury her. Everyone threw a yellow rose into it before she was covered.
A yellow rose means "friendship". She was fully buried and Lillie sat down on the ground where she buried. Everyone went back inside. Yuexiu was there waiting for Lillie to finish with Roy.
She was old enough to drink. She drank some red dragon blood wine. Feiyan was buried in the garden of the academy where exotic and beautiful plants would grow. They buried her where all the different colour roses were. Mostly the yellow ones.

Her mother spirit sat down beside her and look at her.
"Put out some food for me at the S rank dinning room. I'll eat it." She said and disappeared. Lillie heard it and nodded. Once she was done she got up and bowed down. Lillie went back inside with Yuexiu. Roy followed the both of them.
"Jasper is your valvet now. But he is still Guy's valvet" Yuexiu said. Lillie saw the zither and went to it.
"Madam the way is over he-" Yuexiu was cut off by Roy.
"Let her be and let her play the zither Yuexiu" Roy said and they both went back inside. Lillie was by herself.
It was under a peach blossom tree. The zither was sitting on a small and long table that fits its size. But the edges still had a bit room that she can still play it.

(It might be either a Zither or another Chinese wooden traditional that I forgot the name)
Lillie remembered how to play it. She put both of her hands on the strings and started playing gently. When you practice enough you can play faster but for now play slowly.

Inside the academy
"JASPER" Guy yelled his name. Jasper came.
"Yes?" He ask.
"Where's Lillie?" Guy ask him. Jasper pointed outside and Guy look out the window. It was Lillie. She was playing under the cherry blossom tree. Headmaster came out and smiled.
"Your just like your mother" Lou told her. Lillie heard it and kept on playing while he was talking.
"Well educated, trained to fight, beautiful and elegant, and well talented."
Lillie started to play faster and faster. It was fast but the song was still in its correct place and she was playing it right.
Lou went back inside. Guy went out and went to her.
"My parents want to see you. Lets go now" Guy said and grab her. The string stopped moving and Lillie turned back and saw the petals falling.

Once they were back inside Lillie ran to their room and took a shower. She did her hair and makeup. Yuexiu help her out with her dress and left once she was done. Lillie got up and went to Guy. He grab her hand and went to the dinning room where his parents were sitting waiting for them with the headmaster. Dan Zhu was there with Ling Wen and Yuexiu. Lou brought Feiyan back to life to make sure she hears it. The food was cook and prepared. There was an empty seat next to Lillie's mom. There was a plate full of food in it. The empty seat was for her father.

Lillie and Guy sat down at the end of the dinning table together. Guys parents were also sitting together at the other end of the table.
"So this must be your wife?" Guy's mother said and look at Lillie. He nodded.
"She's beautiful and elegant. Your so lucky to marry her!" Her voice was happy. Lillie saw joy in her eyes. They ate and talk.
"Well everything is settled...but we will need to talk to her mom" Guy's father said and Feiyan nodded. His parents got up so did Feiyan and went to headmaster's office. Lou got up too and followed. Ling Wen and Dan Zhu left. Lillie went back to her room and took off the dress and re-did her hair. She wore clothes that were lighter.

She spun around and the dress spin with her. It match her colour and was comfortable. She got out of the dressing room and saw Guy's parent leaving. Feiyan waved at them but they left already. She saw Lillie and went to her.
"Your uncle calls you "little fox" but I will call you "little lotus". Her mother said and put her hair to the side.
"Enjoy your youth and life while you still can" Feiyan went back to her room.

Lillie had flashback of her dad saying that to her.
Flash back time

Lillie's dad came back late from work. Lillie didn't sleep because she was waiting for him to come. Her mother stayed up with her. Lillie saw her dad and ran to him and hug him tight.
"Daddy!" She said in joy and her dad pick her up and spin her around.
"How come are you still awake sweetheart?" He ask her.
"She didn't want to sleep because she was waiting for you" her mother replied back for Lillie and hug him tight. He hug him.
He took her to bed and tuck her in. They read a bed time story and he kiss her on the forehead.
"Enjoy life and your youth while you still can princess." He said and left her room. Lillie slept happily.

She miss that feeling
