[The Next Day]

Before going to school I went to a bakery and bought cupcakes. Then, I went to school and waited for lunch break. I usually don't care about break time because I always don't have the appetite and I don't have any friends to hang out with, but today, it just feels different.  When I heard the bell ring, meaning it's lunch time, I immediately walked out of the classroom to go to Patrick's classroom to give him the cupcakes.

When I reached their classroom, students from the inside still hadn't come out to eat and their teacher was still teaching, so I waited in front of their classroom and leaned my back against the wall with the box of cupcakes in my hand.

A few minutes later, the door suddenly opened and their teacher came out from the classroom and students. I look at each student's faces to see if Patrick already went out. And there, he came out last.

I stopped leaning against the wall and fixed my uniform before speaking to Patrick with a soft smile. "Here's your cupcakes."

"You really waited here just to bring me these cupcakes?"

"Yes. Is there something wrong about it?" I handed him the cupcakes and he took them.

"It's just embarrassing. We just met yesterday. And now you're treating me to cupcakes." He said and scratched his head.

"Then, you can treat me too next time." I suggested, to make him feel lighter and also a reason to meet him again.

He seems like a nice person so I want to get to know him more and be friends with him. Nothing more.

"Alright! Thank you for this, Keyu." There, my heart just melted when he said my name.

'What's happening to you Zhou Keyu. Act normal!' I thought.

"What should I treat you then?" He asked and thought.

While Patrick is concentrating on thinking, a guy who is probably the same age as Patrick runs up to him and puts his arm over Patrick's shoulder. "Patrick! Come on, I'm hungry!"

I didn't notice there was someone waiting for him.

"Oh. Jiayuan. Sorry. I'm coming!"

"Anything is fine for me." I said.

"Okay, then I'll go ahead now."

"Okay. Bye! Talk to you later."

He waved goodbye to me before he ran towards his friend with the cupcakes I bought.

A smirk formed in my mouth as I went back to our classroom that is currently empty and took a nap there.

[Patrick's POV]

"Hey. Isn't that Zhou Keyu?" Jiayuan asked as we both walked to the cafeteria.

"Yes."

"What did he tell you? Is your life in danger now? I knew I should've protected you more." He cried without tears. Alligator tears.

"He just gave me these cupcakes." I showed him the box of cupcakes.

"Oh. I didn't see that. Give me some." He tried taking the cupcakes from me but I put them away.

"Not a chance."

"What? I'm your friend so you have to give me some." He threw a tantrum like a child.

"Wait until we get to the cafeteria."

Then, we continued walking to the cafeteria with Jiayuan stomping his feet. He really is a child. When we arrived at the cafeteria, we saw Wu Hai eating alone at a table so we joined him at the table.
