Skylar Evans

"What do you mean that I have to share a room with a freaking girl?! That is NOT what you told me over the phone!" I exclaimed, whilst crossing my arms and narrowing my eyes at the woman behind the desk in front of me.

"Excuse me?" The lady looked shocked at first and she gave me a haughty chuckle, while shaking her head. "I'm sorry, Miss Evans, but it is quite mandatory for girls to share rooms with girls and not with boys."

Does anyone ever check the transcripts and students' history before giving them scholarships?

"Just check my transcripts, it might benefit you that I am the Skylar Evans, the one that got the scholarship for dancing and was called by you that there were no more girl dorms and only one boy dorm was available." Her eyes widened as she began searching for my transcript and then sighed. "Besides it's not like I am going to 'do the nasty' with any of these MVSA little boys."

She shook her head full of curls in remorse while handing me my room key. "I am so terribly sorry, Miss Evans , it must have slipped my mind. Pardon my jumbled brain, which mistaken you as the other Evans we have in the premises."

I laughed at her mid-aged pout face, finally calming down when she said sorry and gave her a thumbs up.

"It's cool, just make sure there is no next time with me or anyone else because I'm pretty sure they would get angrier than me and it will not be pretty." Her assistant behind her swiveled around in her chair and her eyes widened as I began heading out the door into the hallway filled with noise. "Besides boys these days can be so equavilant to a pig or any animal to be more precise. I've gotten so used to it to the point it feels weird to be around girls."

The assistant, whose name tag read 'Gabbie' made an 'o' shape before saying, "Dangggggg Quientin!"

What a loser

As I finally left the room, the last thing I heard was her laughter and then the sound of ten million different conversations filled my ears from every direction. The sound of the door closed behind me and I began walking to the south corridor, where I would find my room.

At least I thought I was going in the right direction.

There was no way I would be able to find my way there all by myself. But I don't want to be known on the first day of college as the slut who was asking for the boys dormitory, already.

Wait, when did I start caring about what others thought about me?

I walked up to a guy dressed in a red flannel and asked, " Excuse me, you seem decent enough to be my escort. Can you show me to the boys dormitory?" The guy scrunched his eyebrows together in confusion and I crossed my arms. "Do not worry, I am not a rapist or anything, it just so happens that I'm sharing a dorm with a boy my freshman year?"

The guy laughed then as his cheeks turned a bright red and motioned for me to follow him.

"I don't think you could be expected as a rapist unless there is a side of you that no one knows about. So, why exactly is your dorm in the boys dormitory, if I may ask?"

I laughed, "Hey! Do not underestimate this innocent face. The reason is because apparently all the rooms in the girls dormitory are full," I fixed a piece of my hair behind my ear and continued, " and the most exciting part is that my roommate is a guy. Isn't it just lovely for my first year in college to be sharing a dorm with a guy and be mistaken as a slut by those other girls. Before any more sarcasm, we still don't know each other's names. My name is Skylar but you can just call me Sky."
