It took every fiber of your being to not stab Sonic then and there. Sonic must have noticed this because he suddenly looked terrified. "Whoa hey chill it's just me! Remember? It's Sonic!" What is going on???
"I don't know you! What kind of mob are you?! Did I update to 1.18 or something?!" You waved your hands around, trying to figure out when you must have lost your marbles. "Y/N it's okay! It's been awhile since I've seen you! Don't you remember me?" Sonic pleaded, his green eyes looking worried. He stood in front of you with his hands to his sides. You just stood there staring. "What do you mean remember? I don't know you!" You got more frustrated every time you repeated yourself. Sonic took a deep breath. "Okay, look, let me explain..."

Dream was walking briskly through a pine forest, watching his compass carefully. He's surely made about 1500 blocks by now. He made sure to leave behind some sort of mark in case he got lost, like cutting a slash into a nearby tree. As he walked further and further into the forest, it seemed to get darker. When he left the cave it was early morning, and it's only been like an hour or two. He looked at the trees looming above him, blocking out what little light could pierce through the dense forestry. It was quiet. It would almost be peaceful if he wasn't so paranoid.

Snap

... what was that?
The green bean turned quickly, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. His eyes darted back and forth through the bushes and stumps that surrounded him. Nothing. Hopefully. He took a deep breath, held it, then let it out feeling relieved. He turned back around to continue his trek, but before he could, a diamond sword whizzed past his head and pierced a tree only feet away from him.
"Ello Dream." Tommy said.

"... so basically, I nearly got beheaded and only narrowly escaped Schlatt because you decided to set off half the TNT under L'manberg before Wilbur died again." Sonic took a second to catch his breath. "Do you remember now?" He looked up at you hopefully. You were sitting on a nearby stump listening to the blue thing ramble. His ramblings did seem to jog your memory, however. "I do... but I don't. I remember these things happening but I don't remember you? Are you gaslighting me?!" You stood up angrily. It's been so hard trying to remember what happened, but this is making things worse somehow. The hedgehog took a step back. "I'm sorry! I'm not! I promise!" He shook his hands desperately. "You're the only other person I've seen around here. Everyone else..." he trailed off, rubbing the top of his head. You rubbed your eyes. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to get so mad. It's just..."
"A lot." Sonic finished for you. "I know. I'm sorry." You both stood in silence for a minute.
"Well... how about you come inside... I guess? I have some food. Well, not a lot, I need to go hunt, but..." you motioned towards your house. Sonic smiled timidly. "Sure. I'm not super hungry so don't stress." You smiled back.
You still wanted to stab him though.
