Zyllebal POV

I watch as the Black Priors take Dexter's body away. They seemed unemotional too it. Like they didn't care that he was just murdered. Even the woman that was trying to talk to him during the fight. I didn't know her name, but she wore similar clothing as him.

Dexter wore some sort of white trench coat like clothing. It seems to give away to chainmail at the shoulders. He wore heavy layered armor places on his shoulder. Like most Black Priors, he wasn't as heavily armored as other knights and guards I've seen, but most of that is made up by his shield.

The woman who was speaking to him wore grey. She had shoulder plates similar to Dexter's, but she didn't have the fancy spikes. Even though I had been with the Black Priors before, I don't know what the shoulder spikes mean. Mercer once wore a flame ornament on his shoulder, and his second would wear three singular spikes on their shoulders, but Dexters was more than three, and I didn't know the meaning of that.

I keep watching in shock as they take his body. It's almost as everything is frozen in time. I will myself to move though. I turn away from the scene and flee back to my home. I knew what was waiting for me though, but I couldn't stay at the scene of my own crime.

I push open the door and rush inside, slamming the door behind me. The house was decorated in Redguard furnishings. I was always fascinated with the Redguards and their traditions. I saw it fit to decorate my house with their culture.

I turn to see two eyes staring me dead in the face. I freeze. Blue eyes stare. They were red and puffy. "Zyine." I say slowly, but she shakes her head.

"I don't want to hear it. I don't care about your bullshit lies and self justification, mom." She says. I knew she would be angry about it, but I killed him anyway. Zyine turns away from me and sits down on one of the small Redguard chairs that sat by a wall.

"You once told me stories about your time with them. Some of them good, some of them bad. In my mind, I let the bad outlay the good. You told me stories on how they saved people and stopped dangerous creatures from killing people, or even stopped the necromancer Tenegaio. You also told me how their leader cause a war between the Black Priors and the Daggerfall Covenant. Or how one of their founders massacred hundreds of people." Zyine starts. "You told me that, but I knew you never liked them."

"I can't get my mind around it, Mother. You say you hate them, but you worked with them for years? Then one shows up and saves me, and you return that favor by killing him?" She sounds disappointed. I look down. Zyine was right. I wasn't making sense, but I didn't want to tell her about Mercer yet. She deserved to know. "If you don't want to tell me, than that's fine. I just won't talk to you until you decide to be one hundred percent truthful with me. I'm your daughter, not some stranger you can just lie to. You don't even have the decency to tell me who my father is." She says, and crosses her arms.

I open my mouth to say something, but nothing comes out. I didn't know what to say to her. I was having a mental debate on weather I should tell her about Mercer. "The reason I haven't told you that is because I don't want you growing up knowing who your father is." I say. That's the best explanation I could give her at the moment. I didn't ever want her meeting Mercer.

"That should be my decision to make and judge. I'm his daughter just as much as I am your daughter. I deserve to know who he is. He deserves to meet his daughter. You're so afraid of letting me see the real world, mom. I want to go on adventures like the ones you told me of. I want to fight dangerous creatures and save the world from Daedra like you did." I sit down in a chair across from Zyine.

"It's a dangerous world, Zyine. Your father is proof of that. He's a dangerous man, and I don't want that danger in your life. Even then, I couldn't possibly see him again." I explain bit Zyine just looks angrier.
