I really enjoy shopping, especially when it's with you. I really enjoy you. Could it be your perfect smile? Your deep eyes I could drown in for hours upon hours? Is it the way you gently stroke your fingers along the apples, feeling out the ones that are just so, perfect? I can't help myself to wonder, is this where I'm meant to be? Have I found my purpose, my place, the one I have been searching for the whole 17 years I've been alive? Alive but wishing I were dead. You saved me, so I will save you. Save us, from anything trying to tear us apart. Including that girl, the one you've been texting since 2016.

"Baby, can you go downstairs and get me a glass of wine?" Wyatt scrolled on his phone, sitting above the red plaid bedsheets. "What type of wine?" Nomi threw the sheets off her, sitting up and bending over the side of the bed to grab her cream-coloured slippers. "Red, thanks." Wyatt started to smile slowly at his screen. "Of course," she sighed and slipped her feet in. She stood up and stretched, her feet feeling like she was resting them in clouds.

I can see you smiling at your phone, you aren't even trying to hide it, do you not love me? What could I have done to make you like this...?

Nomi jogged down the clean wooden steps to the kitchen, she pulled open the fridge and took out an almost empty bottle of red wine. She gently pulled a glass from the cupboard above with fridge, sliding it onto the black granite island, she unscrewed the lid of the green bottle and slowly watched the last of the red substance melt into the glass.

Nomi dreamt back to a time, she was pulled off the ledge of a tall bridge in the south of the city, Perth. A strong, tall, and kind man had saved her life. He hugged her tightly, as she melted into his arms, her eyes flooded with tears.

"BABE? WHERES MY GLASS OF WINE?" Wyatt yelled from upstairs. "JUST A MINUTE!" Nomi yelled back. She carefully ran back up the modern wood staircase, she walked into the bedroom and handed the glass to Wyatt. "I thought I told you, don't yell at me!" he yelled again, peering at the glass. "Is this all?!" he looked back up at her through his eyebrows. "It's all we had left, I told you I hadn't been shopping for-" Nomi tried to explain herself. "I don't care, just get out." He took a sip and looked back at his phone, his frown disappeared, and a smile spread across his handsome face. "I'm sorry" Nomi muttered as she walked out, closing the door behind her. "Yeah whatever" Wyatt's muffled voice came from behind the door.

Nomi rushed downstairs, she took towards the corridor to the left of the staircase and ran to the end of it. She reached the white front door and took another left into the office. Swaying around the large, messy desk and hammering the keyboard, she glued her eyes to the expensive computer screen. "Ava Acker" a small grin peeled its way on Nomi's face.

Such a stupid name for such a stupid girl.
