Chapter 9: My heart's aflutter

Rhys's POV: *TIME SKIP TO THE NEXT DAY WEEEEEE*

Finally. Christmas was finally over. I still don't like christmas, even though Cat got proposed to. I've always been bitter about it.

"So... Will you be my maid of honour?"  Cat asked quietly while strolling into my bedroom and plopping on my bed.

"Uh... Do I really have a choice?" I asked while putting on my jeans.

"Uh... No. Not really." She giggled.

"So, whats the theme gonna be?" I chuckled plopping myself right next to her. "But hurry. I gotta go to work soon." I said.

"Uh... Baby blue, black and white."She said happily.

"Awe!" I chirped.

As I headed out the door I thought about if I would ever want to get married.

Eh. Probably not.

Well there you have it.

*TIME SKIP TO VALENTINES DAY MORNING 7:00 AM*

(A/N I just want you guys to know I'm pretty bitter about valentines day. It's like the worst holiday ever. Just FYI. :))

*alarm clock buzz*

"NO!" I screamed while throwing my phone across the room.

Fuck. I hope that didn't break...

"WHAT. THE ACTUAL. HELL. RHYS???" Cat practically screamed in my face. "Some of us are still trying to sleep." She said, calming down a bit.

"I'm sorry." I said bitterly. "Go back to sleep. I'll go get some breakfast from somewhere." I said getting up.

I checked my phone to see a new text message.

Jefferson: Hey baby. I know you don't like Valentines day very much... Go look at your front door. <3

I didn't know if i should respond or not...

Probably not, Rhys. He's probably working.

I sluggishly walked down the stairs to our front door and swung it open.

I started crying. What I see before me is a basket of white and orange roses, white symbolising innocence and purity, and orange meaning passionate desire, pure enthusiasm and fascination. (He left that on a card. ;))

A check for fifty dollars, and a venti caramel flan frappuccino from Starbucks.

(A/N Yes, this did happen to me. Except the check. XD)

Cat's POV: ._.__.~Time Skip to Valentines day~.__._.

*chirp*

Cas: Hi babe, I'm at the store. What kind of tea do you want?

Cat: It's Xing tea, right?

Cas: Yep.

Cat: SWEET TEA AND CHERRY PLEASE AND THANK YOU. I LOVE YOU.

Cas came home not to long after that. He came to the bedroom door and knocked on the frame. He was holding a bouquet of purple and lavender roses, symbolizing eternal love and love at first sight, and double chocolaty chip frappuccino.

"Happy Valentines Day, Cat. I love you," he charmingly whispered in my ear.

He knows me so well. We've known each other for about six months and he knows me better than my own parents do- did...

I hadn't thought about my parents in a long time. For the first time in what seemed like forever, I actually wanted to cry because of losing my parents. Tears flooded my eyes and I cried into Cas' shoulder.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He asked into my hair.

(A/N Via Rhys*INHUMAN FANGIRL SQUEALING*)

"Just thinking about my parents, and how they would be really happy right now. They would've been excited for the wedding."

"Hey, just think. If your parents hadn't died, we would've never met." He said grinning from ear to ear.
