Rioan found himself waking up in a bed. A proper one. A soft fluffy bed sitting on its frame, with a white duvet draped over him. Luxurious. The room around him was unfamiliar, tall wooden pillars rising to a flattened ceiling with a shut trapdoor embedded in it. It was quite literally a house in a room, considering the marble table attached a wood-burning stove. It was bright, the a lamp sitting on the drawers next to the bed. It was warm. And comfortable. And for some reason, felt familiar. In seconds Rioan felt his eyes slipping to a close and his head blurring the line between his thoughts and sleep.

Just as his mind faded, he was awakened by a small bundle of heat beginning to stir. He barely noticed how his arms were clutching onto it, embracing it and wrapping himself around, like holding a baby. The little dragon peaked her head out from under the sheets. Her eyes were slowly opening, deep blues hazy from her sleep. She yawned, her jaws stretching out, revealing her razor teeth and solid legdes behind her teeth, like grinders. Snapping her jaws, she turned her head, eyes lazy and focused and looked at him.

Rioan...

"Yueraza."

Before he got time to ponder where that name came from she had already buried herself in his chest, snuggling and crawling closer with her warm scales.

Just Raza. Only Raza, she murmured.

They lay like that for some passing time. Without reason or motive. He was comfortable where he was and she was happy where she was. They lay there.

The wooden door on the opposite of them swung open some time later. With the opening of the door came Berda in her a chain-mail and leather greaves, boots and gloves that wrapped to her elbows. And a surprised face to see both of the once collapsed life-forms cuddling with each other. It took her barely half a second to recover and then she was strolling into the house, closing the door and laying a leather sack against the doorframe.

"Why hello there lovebirds," Berda called out jokingly as she walked to the bedside.

"I don't really think that's possible. We're two completely different species."

"You'd be surprised. There happens to be plenty of human dragon couples. Particularly with human females and dragon males. The stories don't lie about male dragons fancying females. It's not particularly dependent on species. Though creating offspring is a completely different story."

She sat down next to them. Then stripped herself of her gloves, before gently placing her palms on Rioan's forehead and under the little dragons neck. Neither did Rioan or Yueraza resisted.

"Seems like neither of you have any kind of ailment. Thankfully."

"Why did you feel Raza's throat?" Rioan asked.

"Ailments tend to affect dragon's throats and the element generating sacs in their throats. And 'Raza,' huh? Our little princess has a name finally."

Yueraza, Yueraza barked to Berda.

"So our little dragon already cares for your favouritism, Rioan. If the both of you are this close already you better spoil her."

She and the little dragon both laughed at that. It died away and the three of them stayed silent for a while. Berda turned away from them.

"What happened in the carriage?" she asked.

Her tone was not her usual friendly and eager tone.

"Don't know." Rioan replied.

"Has it happened before?"

"Yes. But I would say not to this extent."

"What happened that time."
