I've always fantasized about the phrase, "the way he looks at her". It's special, no? Like someone would actually look at you in a certain way; a certain way showing all the affection and care they have for you, a certain way that everything that makes them happy is connected to you and involves you in it. And they'd lose their everything for you and everything if they lose you. A certain way that how your smile and goofy talks makes their eyes sparkle and the corner of their eyes crinkle, a certain way that how you losing your focus and getting a disturbing thought makes them concerned, a certain way that how they'd do everything and anything to calm you down and make you happy. A certain way of how you ranting about your favourite food and everything that others call stupid makes them feel important and special in your life. A certain way of how they can't stop looking at your face; how your eyes lights up when you're excited about little things or how your eyes show that you see the care they have for you or how your eyes goes a little dull with a slight thought of worry or how your eyes are so pitch black, so deep that they see the world in your eyes and your eyes everywhere in the world, how your nose turns red with all the excitement and the blush when they see you noticing how they've been looking at you, how your cheeks radiates this seraphic blush when they hold your hand intertwining your fingers with theirs and gently playing with your fingers while brushing their thumb slightly on the back of your hand, how your lips curl up into this beautiful smile at every little thing they say or at every little gesture they do or at every moment that you spend with them because with them, every single moment and any place feels like home. Maybe, because it's not that the moments or that place is our home but it's the person infront of us that is our safe place, our home. And everyone around us saying, "wow, the way he looks at her". Wholesome, isn't it?
I've always fantasized about it, reading it in novels and even seeing it in real life. Like today after our exam, my entire circle of friends was in the cafeteria goofing around and being their usual stupid fun selves like always. But being the observant person I am; in the corner table there was this guy looking at his friend while she talked so happily and genuinely. But oh wow, the way he looked at her. I don't know if they're a couple or not but that guy fell hard in love I guess.
But like, does it happen to everyone? Do we all find someone in our life who'd look at us in this certain way? Or maybe, we just didn't notice when it happened?
