I woke up to the smell of bacon cooking. Why would Dad be cooking bacon? He only does that when.... Oh. I completely forgot. Today is the day I return to Hogwarts! It's been a few months since the war ended, and I'm just hoping that this year can be calm and we have no major disasters threatening our very existence. Wouldn't that be great.

I sat up slowly and looked at the clock on my nightstand. Oh my gosh! It's already 8:00 and the train leaves at 8:30! I jump out of bed and rush down the stairs.

"Mom! Why didn't you wake me up sooner! I'm going to miss the train!"

"Oh dear! I'm sorry, Hermione. I had no idea it was that late," Mom said.

"It's fine, I just have to rush. We need to leave for Kings Cross in 15 minuets. I have to go get my trunk." I say, running back up the stairs.

I rip open my wardrobe doors and search for a shirt. I settle for a green tee-shirt and a pair of blue skinny jeans. Why green, you might ask. I honestly have no idea. It just felt.... right. I then proceed to try and tame my bed-head, with little result. Rushing, I quickly close my trunk and race down the stairs.

After I ate some delicious bacon, my parents drive me to Kings Cross Station. Yes, I am old enough to drive, I just don't have time to get a license. I check the clock nervously. 8:21. I've got nine minuets till the train leaves. Bollocks.

Finally reaching the station, and I have five minuets till I miss the train. I quickly say farewell to my parents and I run through the barrier between platforms 9 and 10. Once I reach the other side I could hear the train whistle for the last passengers before leaving the station.

As I was searching for Harry and Ron, I accidentally bumped into someone.

"Watch where you're going!" A familiar voice scoffed.

"I'm surprised you had the guts to even show up here, Malfoy." I say, spinning around to look at his face.

"Granger." Draco scoffed.

"Don't sound so surprised."

"Whatever." He said, turning around, leaving me in an empty walkway.

I found Ron and Harry five minuets later in a compartment with Luna Lovegood and Nevile Longbottom. Ron looked up at me and smiled.

"Hey, 'Mione!" He said.

"Hello, Ron. Hey, guys! How's it going?" I asked.

I sit down, preparing for the next roller coaster ride of a year.
