[Corrin's pov]

Leo: Father, I have dispatched that uncouth girl and the ninja on behalf of my softhearted brother.

I frowned at Leo's words.

Garon: hmph.

Leo: I only ask that you would be merciful in his punishment.

Garon: Enough! I will consider the matter later.

With that, Father leaves the room. My eyebrows furrowed as I looked at Leo.

Corrin: Leo! How could you?! They were beaten! There was no reason to execute them!

Leo: Agreed. Now hush.

Corrin: Leo, did you-

Xander walks up to the two of us, his face still a bit red from that girl's outburst.

Xander: Enough of this, both of you.The battle is over.

His eyes darted to me.

Xander: Mark my words, Corrin. One day, an act of kindness may be the death of you, much like the outburst from that girl.

I was curious about what that girl said. I knew that I shouldn't ask, especially because Xander still seemed mad, but I couldn't help it.

Corrin: What did that girl mean by the thing that father did years ago?

Camilla looked at me and then at Xander. Xander said nothing for a few moments.

Xander: I'm not sure what she meant.

Something told me he was lying, but I chose not to press it further. There were several moments of silence before Xander finally said,

Xander: Guard! I would examine the prisoners' belongings. Bring their remains to my quarters.

Guard 1: Yes, sir!

Xander left as the guard and another guard searched the bodies of the two Hoshidans. I turn and look at Leo.

Corrin: Your spell, Leo...

Leo: It was only enough to weaken them, yes. I should have followed Father's orders. But Camilla and Elise always make such a fuss when I do anything to upset you.

I smiled slightly at his words.

Corrin: Thank you, Leo. I'm sorry for teasing you about your collar.

He frowned at my words and sighed.

Leo: You can repay me by not mentioning it again.

I chuckle a bit in response.

Elise smiled.

Elise: That was great, brother!

Camilla smiled for a moment before frowning.

Camilla: It was, but I doubt this will be the last we hear of this. Father never forgets a slight.

I frown and nod in agreement.
