CHAPTER 9
Tweek's P.O.V
I had fallen asleep on the couch which was very unusual for a person like me. The couch usually gave me cramps and was very uncomfortable when I twitched.
I guess I was just too relaxed that it would be even more of a pain to walk up to my own bed.
Based on the little brightness in the room it was probably five in the morning. Using my hand as leverage I pulled myself up and found a blanket over my legs and half of my torso. So my parents really did care about me still.
Slowly I made my way to the kitchen and made myself some coffee and grabbed a yogurt from the fridge. Today I felt like eating like a normal human being.
The normal human (or fifteen-year old if they were normal) would be out and about going Christmas shopping or playing in the snow; but for me all I wanted to do was stay inside.
A yawn surpassed my lips and it made my whole body feel light and warm. The last time I woke up calm was over a month ago and that was when there was no school and I was still in my original home.
Then there were memories of yesterday and how calm I had been with Craig...
No, I shouldn't think about it like that.Craig's P.O.V
Saturday! The best day of the entire week had finally arrived! I could push my projects and other homework to the side and hang out with Clyde and Token more.
I leapt out of bed and raced downstairs to grab my phone and an apple before plopping down on the couch to relax for the rest of the evening.
When I looked down at my phone I realized something that I hadn't thought about before.
If Tweek was my friend now I should probably get his number as well. The thing is, I didn't know how to straight up ask him.
I've got it!***
Hesitantly I knocked on Tweek's door and prepared myself for what would open the door for me. Lucky for me it was just Tweek.
His hair was messy and he had changed into a pair of baggy clothes for the weekend. "Oh, h-hello." He greeted as he rubbed his eyes. It was obvious that he had probably just woken up from a nap or something.
"Hey, do you want to see something cool?" I asked with an attempt to hold back a smirk.
"Erm- s-sure... but not here." He agreed, "Let me go ch-change. B-be right back."
He came back in some pretty casual clothes and his hair was back to normal but still with the spikes.
"Bring your phone." I said and he grabbed it off of a table that was next to the doorway.
"Is th-that all?" He asked and I nodded. I led him to a nearby park where I could show him my "magic trick". We sat in a bench looking out at the park. This used to be my number one way for picking up chicks but I guess it could be used to mess with Tweek as well...
"Okay, I'm going to get your phone number with a special magic trick." I explained and his eyebrows raised suspiciously.
"How d-do I kn-know you don't already h-have it?" He asked.
"I don't, you can even check my contacts." I assured and offered him my phone which he didn't take.
"I believe you." He admitted and put up his hands as if to surrender.
"Okay, here's what you are going to do." I began, "Go to your calculator... right, now multiply the first three numbers- not your area code- of your number by eighty..."
I carried on instructing him on what to do and the moment felt so peaceful and happy that I hadn't even realized that my shoulder was touching Tweek's. He hadn't noticed either and I quickly told him the last step.
"Now give me your phone and close your eyes." I instructed and he handed me the phone and closed his eyes. When his eyes were shut he looked so peaceful and carefree that I almost got lost in my own thoughts.
No, I couldn't be thinking like this! I did the final magic step and quickly typed in his phone number to the call.
"You can open your eyes now." I said and his green eyes were back from behind his closed eyelids. Right when he got his phone back I hit call and his phone began to ring.
"How?" He asked in awe.
"You'll learn one day young one." I teased. We both laughed at my teasing.
My plan was a success.
Tweek yawned and a sleepy tear came to his eye.
"Did you get any sleep last night?" I asked and he nodded.
"I've just been s-so... busy." He admitted and he looked at me with a smile.
"Well, don't pass out here because I don't think I would be able to carry you." I said.
"I won't," He reassured me, "besides... I still need your n-number."
"Nah, I'll just text you, then you text me back and do all that other crazy stuff. It makes the job much easier." I explained.
We sat there texting each other random emoji's and began telling stories with them. It seemed like a really stupid idea at first, but after a while it was the best time I've ever had. The fact that recently I've been happy no longer worried me. I knew that this was the feeling of a new friendship and I liked the feeling.
"Craig?" Tweek asked as he looked at his phone.
"Yeah?"
"Why did y-you s-send me a he-heart?" He asked and my heart almost burst with embarrassment.
"Uh... the dog that set fire to the tree fell in love with.... Santa." I said hesitantly but Tweek seemed to buy it.
After that incident we stopped the texting stories and got to know each other better. For once I actually paid attention to someones introduction. Everything made sense to me and on many accounts I could relate to or secretly wanted to know more about. Someone's name came up in the conversation but he brushed it off and started talking about something else.
I think his name was... Deon?
