Capture the Flag

**Katniss**

We all left the big house and went to the woods. Chiron ordered every camp member to come to the woods immediately for an announcement.

"As you know, we will have a quest for some demigods. We will have to prepare them for the war by training them, so I am ordering an immediate game of capture the flag," said Chiron.

"Who are the teams going to be?" asked Annabeth.

"Everyone on the quest versus everyone else in camp. Percy you will lead this quest so choose your team to go on the quest. The other team captain is Robert from the Apollo cabin."

A boy with gold armor grunted and said,"Fine."

"Well me, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Leo, Frank, and Hazel are going. Im going to take Angela and Angel because they are two children of Artemis. Im going to take Katniss, Gale, and Peeta. I need Nico Di Angelo,Thalia Grace, and Grover. And the rest of the head counselors," said Percy.

I quickly realized that I was on the list and said,"Why do I have to go on the quest?"

"Because I don't remember having you as a child. My only children are Angela and Angel," said Artemis as she appeared out of thin air.

Once she said that I felt like I got caught. But one thing was true: I was already caught and so were Peeta and Gale.

"Fine it is true. We are not demigods, we are mortals.

"Well we will talk about this later, we have a game to start. Percy which team color do you want to have red or bl-"

"BLUE!!" he said suddenly. He said it in a heartbeat.

"Well that was going to be obvious because my Seaweed brain loves blue," said Annabeth.

"You know me well my little Wise girl," Percy said with a smile.

"Could you guys stop getting all loving. It is getting annoying," said Clarisse.

**Half an hour later**

"Ok, now that you have set up the flag you can start. You know the rules, no killing. You may begin..............NOW!" said Chiron.

Everyone on my team suddenly rushed to their positions. "Annabeth, Jason, Leo, Piper, Hazel, Frank,Angela, Angel, Katniss, Peeta, and Gale come with me to go on offense. The rest of you stay her to defend the flag."

"Got it," everyone said in unision.

We started going through the woods, my bow with an arrow ready.

"Katniss, I made you an endless supply of arrows in that bag so they will never run out," said Leo.

"Thanks Leo."

We continued walking until we saw some bushes move. I didn't hesitate and shot an arrow at the bush. Then a scream came out from the bush. A child of Apollo fell out. It was Robert. I could tell because he had gold armor. He had an arrow stuck in his leg. He then took it out and ran off.

"Nice one. You got him right in the leg," said Percy.

"Thanks," I said.

Then 12 campers tried to ambush us. There was one person for each of us. And I shot an arrow at a girl at her arm. Then once everybody took their person down I noticed a red flag on the top of the tree. I climbed the tree and said,"Percy is this fhe flag!"

"Yes, bring it down and lets take it back."

**Travis Stoll**

Me and the rest of the head counselors, including my twin brother Connor, were guarding our our flag when suddenly we saw shuffling in the trees.

"What was that," said Katie.

"I don't know Clarisse check it out."

"Alright but stay alerted." She then grabbed her spear and started walking slowly to the tree. As she got close to the tree she got pulled up fast. And the rest of us got tackled and dragged to the bushes.

I noticed a person with gold armor and a stab wound on his leg who got our flag. It was Robert.

"You wont get away with this," I said.

"Oh I already did," he said. Just as he was grabbing the flag a snare trapped him and he fell and yelled in pain.

Just then Percy and his group came back and Katniss had the flag.

"Good thing I planned ahead of time with that snare," said Gale.

Then Chiron announced," The game is over. Blue team wins!"

We all cheered that we won. Then Percy said,"Three cheers for Katniss." We all cheered three times except the red team.

"Now we know that you guys are prepared for the quest. All of you start packing to go on the quest."
