“Why the hell didn’t you tell me this was the plan” I scream at Gage outside the club before he’s about to go on.

I can’t say I was completely pissed at him. I got to spend a whole car ride making small talk with Ethan, something until just a few minutes ago was only a just a dream. He’s just as sweet as I thought he would be. He waited for me as I went upstairs to change into my favorite pair of ripped jeans and my old leather jacket. Three layers of mascara and one dream of a car ride later, here I am yelling at Gage for not telling me.

“I didn’t think of it until last minute and then I figured you wouldn’t come if I came to pick you up, so I came up with little idea” he smirks and pretends to dust dirt off his shoulder.

I couldn’t help but stare at him in his white t-shirt and black ripped jeans. He didn’t look half bad, he almost looked presentable. The famous gages he wore and the snake bites that drove some girls crazy totally helped pulled off his look.

“You don’t look like complete trash tonight either” he says when he finally notices I’ve been starting at him.

“You’re an ass” I say reaching up and pushing on his shoulder causing him to smile. Like a contagious disease I couldn’t help but slip a smile at the sight of his.

“Born and raised” he ran a hand through his hair.

I shook my head and made my smile disappear. “So am I waiting backstage with the other groupies? All two of them” I snorted.

He nodded and point through the opened door to where a few girls from school stood talking to Ethan and the other guys from the band.

“Uh no! Do you know who those girls are” I shook my head furiously.

“Well no shit!” he laughed. “There not as bad as they seem” he added when he say me bite my lip in fear.

“Ya to a guy like you! They’ll eat me alive” I begin to turn on my heel.

He reaches out a hand and grabs my arm and spins me into him. This clearly catches both of us guard because we don’t say anything for a minute.

“Most of them are vegetarians” he says looking down at me with intense eyes.

“Good to know” I say looking up at him breathlessly.

“They’ll like you, just be yourself” he adds.

I shake my head a tinge before I wiggle out of his grasp. “Thanks” I say awkwardly as I turn to head into the club, Gage following in tow.

“Hey Gage” a girl named Kat says as we approach the huddle.

“Sup Ladies, this flower here is Violet, be good to her, this is her first concert” Gage laughs to himself.

“This isn’t a concert” One of the other girls adds laughing. I think her name is Adeline.

“Not true! I saw the Woe, Is Me concert” I spit forgetting anyone else was beside us.

“No way? You went?” Kat asks turning to face me.

“Yeah actually” I begin. “I sorta went with my brother for my birthday” I add.

“Shit Gage, why the frigg are we just meeting this chick?” a Kat laughed punching Gage playfully in the arm.

“Hey I didn’t know that” he looks at me generally confused.

All I can do is nod at the disbelief plastered over his face. I’m a complex human being, so sue me.
