Marceline
A crowd of bodies were swarming the side entrance of the building. I caught a glimpse of punches being thrown in the center of the crowd. A tall, broad man was dominating the other fellow he was fighting against. Blood was draining from both of their noses. Disgust poisoned my body as I heard the cheers of encouragement to keep fighting.
I kept my eyes on the young man who was winning, his lips were moving but I couldn't make out the words over the loud yells. His eyes scanned everyone who surrounded him, his eyes even came in contact on me and I wasn't a part of the crowd. He kept his sight on me as I walked towards the entrance. I looked at the ground, then at my friends as if I was in the conversation.
"That guy was hot, don't you think?" Victoria giggled. We finally entered the noisy room filled with clueless intoxicated people. I felt my hand being tugged forward, towards the bar. I knew it was Astrid, she always does this when we come here. She links our hands together so we don't get lost amongst the drunken souls around us.
Astrid immediately found Luke though, leaving me and Victoria alone. I knew it wouldn't be long until Victoria found someone to socialize with, which she did.
After a few minutes of sitting at the bar as a loner a young man offered to buy me a drink. I gave him a small smile with a light nod. He ordered me a bottle of beer, which I didn't mind at all. We small talked for a bit, but nothing to enlighten me. Once I finished my first bottle he bought me another one. When he turned around to grab his wallet I took the chance to walk away. I lost myself in the pool of souls who danced around me.
I made my way out so that I could have a smoke. I saw the guy who was in the fight earlier sitting on the sidewalk in front of the club, he was also smoking with a bottle of alcohol in his other hand. I pulled my pack of cigarettes out from my leather jacket and lit one. I took a drag of it, feeling the relaxation express through out my body. I blew out a cloud of smoke in front of me. I decided to sit next to the guy. He stole a glance towards me, a smirk growing on his lips.
"What is a beautiful young girl like you, smoking your life away for?" He sounded amused, but yet bitter.
"What is a handsome young man like you, smoking your life away for?" I mocked him with a grin, taking the nicotine into my lungs again. He chuckled, looking at the ground before take a drink of his beverage.
"I asked you first, babe. Enlighten me" he responded.
"It numbs the pain" I darkly laughed, hiding my saddened tone. "So, how about you?" I asked, looking towards him. His eyes were already on me, he looked as if he was into deep thoughts. His eyes intensely bored into mine, then before I could properly function what was going on his lips crashed onto mine. His hand rested on my knee as he kissed, but I didn't move at all, I was in shock from his sudden actions.
He quickly pulled away once he realized I wasn't doing anything back. I looked away from him, wondering if I should get up and walk away.
"I'm sorry, I-I don't know what happened..." His apology trailed off. He scratched the back of his head nervously before taking a drag.
"I have to go" and with that I got up from my spot and began to walk away. I didn't bother going back in the club, I just wanted to get home and crawl underneath my warm comfy covers.
I crossed my arms, taking a long drag of my cigarette. I took a look at my surroundings and realized there was a lot of people out tonight. I looked down, letting the smoke cascade from my lips. Guys usually didn't kiss me out of no where, especially if we were in a middle of a conversation. It was awfully strange for that to happen.
